Just A Number..

"This is fun..." Zac hummed with a smile.

"Yeah, its fun." He snuggled Zac and his big belly. Quincy loved rubbing his belly.

"Aw, how big am I gonna get?" He frowned. "I'm big enough already...

Mike stepped by and smiled.
"Much bigger and you need to eat a lot, your eating for eight."

"When I said I wanted to be bigger this was not what I had in mind..."

"Oh baby, once you have our kids you will be small again. Just deal with it for now." He sigh as Mike sat down and began sorting out his medication. Mike took pills for depression and anxiety, for his lungs and this and that. Most were for his depression though.

"what are all of those for?" He hummed, tilting his head to the side.

"They keep me sane and going. They give me the power to put a smile on my face." He sighed and rubbed his eyes.

"Hmm...." Zac frowned but pushed it aside. "Memaw, what was it like having twins?" He figured that was the closest he'd get to octuplets.

Mike looked at him funny.
"Im not your momma and it was......."
He thought back. It had almost killed him.
"Worth it."

"But... how much worse is it than just having one? Does it hurt? Well I know it does I guess but...how bad? And..." He paused with a sigh. "Sorry for all the questions."

"Zac baby, imma have you so drugged up you wont feel anything when we do this. Other than that just gotta hope."

Zac sighed, nodding.
"Memaw... could what happened to my momma happen to me?" He asked softly. Could he go out like that? What if he couldn't walk afterwards?

"It could because your so small but Kevin...Your momma is special. He is is SICK and he will always be sick baby. His body is weak and can't take it...."

"I know memaw. Maybe I could take having one better than he did. But this is eight.." He sighed.

"I know baby, I know but you wont be out as long if you do. You will be up in running in no time." Mike sighed, he didnt want this to happen again.

Zac sighed and nodded, hugging his grandmother lightly.
"I hope not...." He didn't want to leave Quincy.

"Zac me either, I dont like the idea at all...I already lost Kevin and this is just too much for me..." He put his head down.

"Me too memaw... I'm scared but I can't get rid of em..." He sighed.

Mike sighed.
He did NOT want Zac to go like Kevin....
It would make everything just so...
horrible........

Zac sighed and kissed his grandmother's cheek.
"I love youmemaw..."

"I love you too Zac, so much baby."
What would he do without Zac?
He was dreading Zac having those babies.

So was Zac. He was absolutely dreading it....

Mike stood and kissed him before going to bed, leaving out his pills and what not on the table.

Zac curled back in bed with his lover falling into a thankfully dreamless sleep.
