When Crickets Cry...

"ALright then." He nodded but smiled softly.

Higgy grinned, reaching for Angel who slapped his arm away violently.
"Dont fucking touch me!!"

Zac sighed at them.
"Well good night you two. Love ya both." He normally would have kissed Angel's cheek but not now.

Everything was quiet, Higgy finally coaxed Angel to let him hold him. Higgy was snoring softly but Angel was wide awake, his eyes were just closed.

Brayden had crept out silently, now sitting in the armchair directly across from Angel, just watching, while trying to sleep hismelf.

Angle sat up and hugged himself, crying silently as the voices reminded him of this of his past.

Brayden blinked as he watched for a moment.
"Oh.... don't cry..." He whispered gently.

Angel jumped, wiping his eyes and looking around.
"I.....We were....they wont....im sorry?"

"Oh, don't be sorry Angel... I'm just worried about you..." He nodded.

Angel raised a brow.
"Don't be.......Im just crazy...."
His temple was bruised from him hitting it.

"Crazy is a mean word." Brayden smiled softly. "You're just mentally unstable."

Angel blinked, having his own words thrown back at him.
"Oh....Your right." a soft grin found his lips.

"I dunno if anyone's ever told you but.... you're cute, y'know that?" He smirked.

Angel cocked his head to the side cutely.
"I dunno, all the other people who kept me didnt think so..."

Brayden grinned.
"You're really kind of beautiful...." He trailed off, eyes locking with Angel's.

A light blush sprinkled Angel's cheeks.
"Me?.....Beautiful....?"
He never thought that, the voices told him no....
He was ugly..

"Very." He nodded. "So beautiful..." He breathed. Angel really was probably the most beautiful thing he'd ever seen...

Angel was tempted to reach out and touch him, just make sure he was really there but he couldn't...
"....Your...." He thought for a moment, thinking.
"Breathtaking..."

Brayden smiled softly. He wanted to touch Angel... make sure he was real...

Angel sighed.
"Im sorry...for earlier...I didn't mean to..." He bit his lip.
The voices hated Brayden.

"It's fine Angel..." Brayden was never this quiet. he just couldn't stop staring... admiring his brother.

'It was good he was quiet.
Angel hated loud sounds.
They scared him...
"I...I um....I used to dream....A-About my family....What yup were like..."
But he had stopped dreaming long ago, now he just had nightmares.

"I could tell you some stories sometime, if you'd like. What it was like here growing up." He nodded. "To be honest, I dreamt of you a lot too. I wanted you with me..."

"You wouldnt have if you would have known me...."
He was sure of it, no one ever wanted him around.

"I would too. I'd want you around even if you treated me like total shit. I love you."
