One Moment Changes Everything

Stevie sighed as he made his way back to the locker room, it had been a long match and he was tired. Just as he was almost near the locker room, he felt somebody hit him from behind. As he fell he felt somebody start kicking, he tried to fight back but soon he curled up to try and protect himself. After what felt like forever his attacker finally left him on the floor almost unconscious.

Jeff was walking back toward the locker room after an interview when he spotted Stevie. He ran over to the older man and nealt down next to the older man. "Stevie," Jeff said gently.

Stevie groaned softly as he opened his eyes slowly.

Jeff gently eased Stevie into his arms. "I'm gonna take you to the trainers," he said gently. "I'll take care of you."

Stevie shook his head "I'm fine." he said before groaning again.

"You are not," said Jeff gently.

Stevie sighed and let Jeff help him to the trainers room.

"You actually think I was gonna let you go without gettin' looked at after I found ya on the floor like that?" Jeff asked.

Stevie shrugged "It won't be the first time." he answered softly.

"I'm not like that Stevie," said Jeff softly.

Stevie sighed and didn't answer.

Jeff sat down on a chair in the room while the trainers looked Stevie over.

Stevie sighed as the trainer finished looking him over.

Jeff talked to the trainers about the best way to take care of Stevie's injuries. Jeff wasn't going to let the older man out of his sight.

Stevie sighed while Jeff talked with the trainers before getting up and leaving.

Jeff got up. "I told you I was going to take care of you."

"Look thank you for the help but i can take care of myself." Stevie said softly.

Jeff shook his head. "You can, but you're not going to," said Jeff. "I want to help you."

Stevie shook his head "Ok what do you want from me?"

"I don't want anything from you Stevie," Jeff said. "I just wanna make sure you're alright, that's all."

Stevie shook his head "Look i've been around long enough to know that nobody helps a loser like me without wanting something."

"Stevie," Jeff sighed softly. "I just wanna make sure you're alright, you were nearly unconscious when i found you."

Stevie sighed as he remembered the attack.

Jeff looked at him concerned. "What happened?"

Stevie sighed "I was walking back to the locker room when somebody hit me from behind."
