When Crickets Cry...

"Wait, thats Quincy?" Mark asked, pointing to Quincy.
Zac nodded.
"How do you know who he is?" He tilted his head.
"You talk in your sleep. Loudly." He chuckled.
"Oh..." Zac blushed lightly.

Quincy held out a hand to the man with a smile.
"Yes, Quincy Carson McDaniel's."

Mark smiled and shook the hand.
"Mark Richard Crisman." He introduced.

"I would hate to embarrassed him but I need to know, what are your intentions towards him?"

"Welll..." He turned, looking at Zac, then back at Quincy. "If he'd let me, I'd like to be his boyfriend..."
Zac bit his lip.

It hurt so bad...
But he grinned.
"Well good...But you know if you ever hurt him or break his heart I would have to break your face right?"

"Uh, yes sir." He chuckled but nodded. Zac blushed.

Quincy nodded, laying back on the floor.
Quinton ran his fingers through his brothers hair.
"Hurt?"
"Mhmm..."

Mark smiled softly as he walked over to Zac. His lips were puckered slightly and Zac knew he wanted a kiss. Zac abruptly turned his head so Mark kissed his cheek instead.... he couldn't kiss him....

Quincy turned his head, his breath catching.
"Go ahead Zac...its fine...."
No...it fucking hurt him.

Zac bit his lower lip.
"I..." He didn't want to... his lips had only touched Quincy's and... he wanted it to stay like that... "You were my only kiss..." He whispered quietly.

"You have done something with him, you smell like him." Quincy pointed out, his Zac was not supposed to smell like that.

"I slept in his lap, Quincy..." Zac sighed. "That was it.."

Quincy sighed and sat up.
"Why are you here Precious?"

"Because Vikki, Hayden and Riley told me Jennifer killed you and.... I don't want the kids staying with you at all anymore..." He said firmly.

Quincy's back straightened.
"Well Zac, too bad, they are my children too and they are safe, she didnt hurt them, she fucking knows better. Your not taking my babies." He stood, towering a nice six foot two.

"She didn't hurt them YET. I know she has a history of murdering children and I WONT let her touch mine." He folded his arms.

"Zac, You are NOT taking these kids away from me without a fight." Quincy turned too look at him, his eyes hard and his jaw set.

"Then, let's fight." Zac replied without missing a beat, his own eyes just as hard. "I'm going to keep my babies safe. Well, I'll give you a choice. Either Jennifer goes or I take the kids away."

"Zac, you can't legally just take my kids. And I wont let you. Until we take it to court four are with me, four with you. You can't do shit about it either." He popped his neck and shoulders, moving to clean himself up and make the constant flow of blood stop.

"Fine then. I'm willing to take this to court. I don't fuck around when it comes to my children. I won't let them around the crazy bitch who just murdered their fucking father, who I thought was a lot smarter than this." Zac's eyes narrowed.

"Zac, back off before I put you on your ass out of this house." Quincy rolled his eyes, walking into the other room and looking at the kids.
"Who is staying with me? Why is going with momma?"

None of them WANTED to stay here but Hayden reluctantly volunteered. He was the daddy's boy and he needed to protect his father...
Zac was not even closed to finished.
"I'm not kidding damnit. I don't want them here and I WILL go to court with it if you don't make the bitch leave."

Riley stood with Hayden and nodded. "Me too daddy." And Aaron who had followed them stood along with them. "Coarse you got me..." Quincy nodded, staring and waiting to see if anyone else wanted to stay with him.
"The take it to court McGuire."

"Whatever you want McDaniels." Zac responded. Vikki stood beside her mother, fuming. She took her mother's hand, squeezing it because she knew he was hurting inside. "I want Sean and Gabe with me." He didn't want Jennifer making some comment about Sean being fat or Gabe being a whore.
