When Crickets Cry...

Quincy eyed the two children.
"Gabriel is with me." He announced, nodding to the small boy. Gabriel sighed and got up, his mother didn't love him, he didn't wanna be with him alone without his father.

Zac frowned.
"I don't want the psycho making him feel bad." He stated firmly. He refused to acknowledge the fact that she had a name.

Gabriel shook his head.
He picked up his pad.
And I don't want to be alone with you.

That hurt... he'd understood Hayden and the others choosing their father... they loved him and wanted him safe... but it hurt that a child didn't WANT to stay with Zac....
"Why baby?" Zac asked, looking at Gabriel quietly, hiding the hurt.

Because you dont love me, and I don't wanna sit there and take that. Dad loves me and im not scared of his new bitch.
Gabriel stared back, his eyes dull and hard on Zac.

Vikki's grip tightened on her mother's hand and Zac smiled to himself. His little momma's girl...
"Well.. I do love you but whatever you want baby..." He sighed and nodded.

Quincy sighed and looked back, he had Riley, Hayden, Aaron, and Gabriel....
Zac had Viki, Colbie, Sean, Angel, And Brayden.
"You can go now Zachary."

"Fine. I'll call if I get any news on a court date." He waved with a fake polite grin, before turning and going out the door with his kids and Mark.

Quincy looked back at his kids and pulled them all into a big hug.
"Babies....im going to take care of you. She wont hurt you....just deal with her until she finds my other babies....just give me time...And make sure your mother gets treated right by his new lover okay?"

The kids nodded, some reluctant but they loved their father...
"Alright daddy..." Hayden sighed. He looked around for Jennifer. He didn't want around her....

Quincy looked around.
"Im going...to make a house for you guys...so you wont be in the sane one with her. I am going to tell you she is insane...you will lock the doors and everything.....ill kill her if she hurts you guys so just...stay away from her and ill keep her away from you okay?"

Hayden looked away, towards the door then at his father, and back to his feet.
"Why are you with her if shes psychotic?" He asked bluntly.

Quincy sighed and ruffled his son's hair.
"Because she might know where my other babies are....And I deserve to be with a monster like myself."

"You're not a monster daddy." He sighed. He looked away once again.
So many things were going through his mind.... but he said none of them...

Quincy picked him up, something he hadnt done in a long time and hugged him tightly.
"Im sorry about this Hayden..."

Hayden blinked, sighing and hugging his dad.
"It's..." He was going to say it was okay but not really... it wasn't really okay... "I love you dad." He sighed and kissed his cheek.

"Ill miss you Hayden...."
He knew Zac would take his babies away...he was not stupid...

"I'll miss you too daddy. So much." He sighed and nodded.
It hurt him.... more than any of the others. He was the biggest daddy's boy ever and everyone knew it.
Knowing that his father was letting Zac take him away and his siblings... just to have a slim chance at finding his other kids...
He wasn't good enough. And he hated it.

"Hey now....Hayden baby....You listen to me and you listen good. This is only until she gives me my other babies....when she does ill get you back. No matter what your momma says, I have a right to you. Your my son." Quincy hated this.

"Right.... I know dad." Hayden stepped back on solid ground and walked off, looking out the window into space, willing himself not to cry. He was like his mother. He didn't cry unless he absolutely had to...
But he hated this so much...

Quincy sighed, picking up his phone and calling Zac. Until he got the house built the children could not be around here with the psycho bitch in the home.

Zac raced for the phone but Mark winked at him as he grabbed it.
"Hello?" Mark answered.
You could hear Zac whining in the background.

Quincy grit his teeth and stopped the growl he wanted to let out.
"Is Zac available....?"

"Hmm.. with whom am I speaking?" Mark asked in a proper tone.
"Ass! Gimme the phone!" Zac laughed. "It's Quincy."
"Ohhh, of course BABY. Here's the phone." Mark smirked, handing over the phone.
Zac laughed as he answered.
"What is it?" He asked in a monotone voice.
"Someone's bitchy!" Mark sang as he walked off.

Quincy let out a loud roar, throwing the phone across the room, a smile or grim satisfaction on his face as he watched it break into several pieces.
He popped his neck and looked up the stairs.
Yeah, he would have to make her leave for a while...
