High School Never Ends!

"They do." He agreed. "I'd never have guessed they'd date but they're cute."

Biddy hummed.
"Prom's coming up..."

"Mhm, think Devin's gonna take you?" Quaid hadn't asked yet but he hoped they'd go together.

"I dunno...He might, but then again he might be asking out some other person who isn't fat and pregnant with his kid to go."

"Baby, I'm sure he'll take you." He sighed.

"He isnt like Quaid...he isn't decent like that, Quaid is a good guy and he loves you...he will take you...Devin isnt like that."

"And Devin isn't a decent guy but... maybe he'll change now..."

"I hope..." He nodded, kissed Zc's cheek with a small sigh.

"He will." Zac nodded and let his eyes slide shut.

Biddy snuggled up with him and let his own eyes shut, a sigh escaping him.
What would become of them all?

A month passed. The posters for prom were everywhere around the school, Zac and Quaid were still going strong and Biddy was even closer to giving birth. Devin was stepping up and getting ready to play the roll of a father. He'd gotten a part time job. He worked on weekends and after school

Biddy was too pregnant to work but after he planned on trying to get one. Quaid was trying to figure out what he was going to do, he wanted to ask Zac out to prom in a really big way...

Kyndal was currently planning on asking Wayne to prom. Right now he was at Zac's house. Both of them sat on the bed together. Zac was helping him think of ideas while stroking Biddy's hair. Biddy was lying in between them.

Biddy hummed softly, he had been friends with Wayne for a long time.
"He might not be able to go Kyndal...he has work...."

Kyndal frowned.
"You CANT miss prom... its... its prom for gods sake."

Biddy nodded but it mean nothing and he would tell him that.
"Kyndal...Prom is prom but it means nothing when your the only one in your family bringing in money. His momma has cancer and is dying, his father quit working to deal with his mother, he works and he pays the bills."

"Oh..." Kyndal blinked and frowned deeply. "I didn't know that... well, I gotta go."
Zac eyed his friend.
"Doin what I think you're doin?"
"Mhmm." Kyndal hummed, grabbed his jacket and walked out.

Biddy looked up at Zac curiously.
"And whats he doing?"

"If I know him as well as I think I do he's going to either find out where Wayne works and somehow get him a raise or something or... get some money out of his family's bank account. They're not that rich but... close enough." He shrugged.

"Wayne works on his fathers farm and at a autoshop fixing cars." Biddy raised a brow at him.

"Well I'm thinking he'll do the second one." He shook his head. "If he offers Wayne money will he take it? Or is he one of those proud people who won't take it unless they earn it themself?"

"He is proud....really proud and he is going to be pissed at me for saying anything about it..." Biddy frowned deeply.

"Hmm... well Kyndal will find a way to take him to prom. He's not giving up nwo." He sighed.

Biddy shook his head. "There is no way Zac."

"We'll see..." He shrugged. "He's determined now..."
