I Dream Of Death

"Oh I'm sorry Daffy. I was just always told if I didn't have anything nice to say don't say anything at all." He gave Daffy a sweet smile.

"Yeah, that's why Mike is acting like your not even here."
He laughed as Mike shivered. "You cold Mikey?"
"Freezing."
Daffy hugged him tightly and winked at Alex.

Alex's stomach tied in a tight knot.
"You have Critter, you have Critter, you have Critter." He repeated to himself but it was doing nothing.
"Hey Sarah you sure I can't do that?" Alex raised an eyebrow at Sarah. He knew she remembered what he meant.

"Dude, Mike is in his lap. You will try and you will piss Mike off and I think he is a pissy person."
She looked at Mike. Daffy kissed his cheek, "Yup that MY Mikey."
He grinned at Alex.

Alex smiled back the best he could, leaning on Critter. It upset him that he had absolutely nothing to use to upset Daffy. He squeezed Critter's hand. HARD. To let him know that he could only take a little more of this and they needed an excuse to leave now.

"Ummmm can we take a walk?"
Sarah sighed. "You don't know where your going and I dont wanna walk....Mike you take em'"
Daffy laughed. "God don't put that shit on him."
Sarah scowled. "Please Mikey."
Mike got up, his face expressionless. "Fine, this way."
He began walking.

Alex frowned.
Couldn't she have let them go alone? He followed Mike quietly, not letting go of Critter's hand.

Critter held Alex close. "You can't ignore us forever Mike."
"Ill do whatever the fuck I want."
It was said harshly with a cold message. He didn't like being alone and this is what it did to him.

Alex let out a shaky sigh.
"Mike.. please dont be mad at him. If you want to be mad at me, I deserve it. But you and Lane have been friends forever... don't let me ruin it."

"Hell, I was married to you for twenty five years and its ruined so why not?" Critter held Alex tighter and kissed his cheek.

Alex stayed silent, holding onto Critter's hand for dear life.
God, couldn't he have gone to hell like he deserved to? Mike and Daffy wouldn't be there.

Critter reached out and took Mike roughly by the shoulder's, slamming him into a near by tree.
"Will you fucking stop? He is trying." Critter growled.
Mike just pushed Critter and then punched him in the jaw before Critter hit him back. They fell to the ground as they continued to beat the hell out of each other.

"Guys quit it!" Alex screamed and threw himself in between them.

Critter took Alex and pressed him into his chest as Mike just glared.
Mike just got up, brushed himself off and continued walking.

Alex found what Critter had just done kind of sweet. He gave him a small smile.

Critter smiled back, his nose bleeding as was Mike's lip.
"I think he is really pissed."

"Ya think?" Alex asked with a small sigh.

"I wish there was something we could do...he is so alone."
Mike stopped. "You either come on or im leaving you."
Critter sighed and picked Alex up, carrying him along.

"I have legs." Alex chuckled, nuzzling his head in the crook of Critter's neck.

"I know you do baby. He held Alex tighter."
He sighed before asking. "Do you want to try and get him back?"

Alex sighed and shook his head.
"It wouldn't work anyways..."

"You know it would. He loves you and....maybe he could love me to. I used o have a crush on him. It could come back if I want it to. We could all three be......

Alex raised an eyebrow. That idea was... perfect. He didn't see how he'd never thought of it before. He just didn't know if Mike would go for it.

"Do you think it might work Alex? Do you want to try?"
Critter didn't mind. He loved them both so much and he could learn to love Mike in a different way.

"I'd try... you gotta convince him." Alex pointed to Mike.
