Cowgirls Don't Cry.

Rick hadn't even taken it back. He was pregnant and emotional and he'd asked ONE time about taking back the promise.

But all it took was one time with that boy, especially with something like this.

Rick was getting sick of how over dramatic Kevin was. It was driving him insane.
Even when he had cancer, even when he was pregnant.
All about Kevin.

And Kevin noticed this too, maybe thats why it was so easy for him to go ahead and talk to a lawyer about divorce.

Around three months later, Rick was sitting with Alex as he got his firstcontraction.
"Chill!" He frowned at the baby, hissing in pain. It happened again, he clutched his stomach in pain.
Alex watched him for a moment before realizing what wasw happening. He'd seen enough child births to know this.
"MIKEY!" He called, running off too find his husband.

Mike was arguing with Kevin, trying to talk him out of the divorce thing when he heard his lover yelling.
He simply took a wild guess and nodded at Kevin.
"C'mon, your husband is giving birth."

Alex carried Rick down to Mike.
"Right now?" Rick whined. He was scared as hell. He really wished Kevin would get the hell off his high horse so he'd have his lover there but no, of course not.
So he settled for Alex, squeezing the man's hand as hard as he could.

Mike looked between the three of them.
"Alex, you know the drill, I need equipment. Kevin, you know you gotta set it aside until after he has your baby."
And so he had Alex gathering him things, and Keivn taking his fathers place holding Rick's hand.

Rick pulled his hand away, balling his hands into fists instead.
Kevin hadn't held his hand for the past few months he certainly wasn't gonna do it now.
Alex ran off and got the equipment, bringing it to Mike.

Kevin glared at him.
"One more time Rick and I swear to god..."
He reached again for the hand.
Mike was setting everything up, shaking his head at the two.

"Quit it." He once again tugged his hand away, his face scrunched up in pain. "You've been a bitch when I needed you lately, I've dealt with it. I can deal with it now too.."

"And you can fucking deal with it after now because I want a fucking divorce." The man spat at him. "I dont need to hold your fucking hand anyways." He stood and crossed his arms, standing with Mike while the man worked.

Rick swallowed hard, refusing to let the tears overflow his eyes as he watched Mike work.

Mike got anesthetics going, handing them to Kevin who made sure to hold them high for the man who claimed his heart.
Mike took a knife, and sliced Rick open, having Alex hold the skin apart while he let his hands dip into the gaping wound.

Rick clenched his eyes shut, cursing lightly as tears slipped down his cheeks.
Alex waited for Kevin to step in and when he didn't...
"Shh, its alright baby..." He frowned as he held the skin open while Mike worked.

Kevin looked away, staying like that as long as he could before it was too much.
Rick was crying...
He set the bag where it would stay before standing behind his husband, bringing up and chair and cooing softly.
"Shhh Rick baby its alright, momma's got you, Daddy's got you, we are all here." His fingers caressed Rick's cheeks while he whispered, pressing kisses to his temple.

Rick cried softly.
"Kevin..." he wanted this shit to stop...

Kevin shook his head, kissing his cheek.
"Shhh it will be over soon okay? It wont take long." He promised, his fingers carding through Rick's hair.

"I want us to stop fighting..." He whispered softly

Kevin looked down at him, nodding slowly.
"Rick...I dont like fighting either but right now we cant help it."

"Divorce..." Rick murmured softly

Kevin looked down, he couldnt deny it hurt...
"You want one?"
He said he did, he could not take so much fighting...

"NO!" Rick exclaimed, shaking his head furiously. That was why he was crying....

Kevin sighed softly, kidding Rick's forehead. "Baby all we ever do is fight....even now....I want better for you."

Rick simply shook his head at Kevin, frowning deeply.
