Rose Colored Glasses

"So did ya sleep well?" Alex asked, smiling at Mike.

Mike gave a small nod, he just suddenly feel out, he hadent planned on going to sleep at all.

"Mikey, can I ask you something?" Alex asked softly. He'd been thinking a lot.

Mike nodded, Alex could ask or tell him anything. Mike loved him either way.

"Am I... a good husband?" He asked, nervously. The nurse's words had gotten to him. What if she was better for Mike than him?

Mike cocked his head to one side and nodded vigorously, he wouldn't let the tube in his throat stop him.

"Okay..." Alex frowned, still not completely satisfied, all he did was hurt Mike. Mike had almost died, having their children, his jaw was fractured because of him, he was in here now because he'd stopped eating because he though Alex didn't want him.
"Baby, I'm bad for you." Alex frowned, finally coming to that realization.

Mike's face twisted in confusion. He grabbed his pad and pen. "What do you mean? Where is all this coming from?"

"I was just thinking..." Alex lied. That stupid fucking nurse...

Mike furrowed his brow and scribbled quickly. "Dont you ever think that, you are th best i've ever had and ever will have. I need you, you are so good to me Alex and I love you so much. Don't ever think your bad for me." Mike looked upset.

"Okay Mikey. Just think about it. Why are you in here? Because of me."

Mike blinked and the shook his head, again writing on his paper. "No, its my fault, I shouldn't have acted the way I did. I took it to seriously, you have done nothing wrong."

"Everytime you're in here it's my fault honey. She was right." He shook his head.

Mike narrowed his eyes. "Who?" He scribbled, he was upset and pissed, very deadly combination's.

"No one." Alex shook his head. He hadn't meant to say that out loud.

Mike put his head down, he did NOT like being lied to, it only further upset him.

"Fine." Alex hated when Mike was upset.
"THat's part of what me and the nurse were fighting about."

Mike head sapped up and he was writing again. " You let a nurse make you feel like a bad husband? Baby, I love you more than life itself, you cant be bad."

"Love you too honey." Alex gave a half hearted smile.

Mike caressed one of Alex's cheeks. He mouthed the words. "Smile for me." Mike was worried about this.

Alex gave him a goofy fake smile.
"See? all better." He chuckled.

"Mike shook his head sadly, laid down and curled into a ball, Alex wouldn't even smile for him.

"What? I smiled." Alex said. "Baby, this is the last thing I want right now. Please talk to me... well write to me."

Mike picked up his pad and pen. "It wasn't real, I know you and that was no a smile. You let that nurse make you feel bad, she doesn't know us. Anyone who knows me know I love you more than anything." Mike wrote.

"I know honey. I just let her get to me. I'm sorry sweety. I just don't like her... at all. She... kissed you."
