Love The Way You Lie

"Yeah, no bid deal." Chris smiled at his lover, Wade always made him feel better.

"Well, whatever it is won't hurt you in real life. I won't let it." Wade smiled, kissing the bridge of Chris's nose.

Chris wanted to laughed at the ironey of that, if only Wade knew.

"Well, get back to sleep, sweety. I love ya." Wade grinned before laying back down.

Chris didn't sleep another wink that night, he was scared and he ddin't know what he was going to do.

Wade noticed Chris wasn't sleeping. He knew something was up. And he didn't like it.

Next monday it was the same thing, the Nexus found him, beat him, threatened him, and only John prostested. Chris lay again in a head on the floor, just as he did last week.

Wade came in and again flipped out.
"Baby, I know it wasn't a fan this time. What happened?"

Chris sighed. "Im telling you, I have an insane fan. He sneaks up behind me and before I know about it, its too late. Im on the ground and he is....beating me."

"Chris... you're Chris Jericho for god's sake. I will not believe that you let a fan beat on you this bad."

"He had a fucking bat and someone with him to hold me so....." Chris railed off and it was not all a lie. David had a bat, the rest of the Nexus held him.

"Chris..." Wade sighed. "Who did this to you?" He wasn't believing Chris's explanation at all.

"Im telling you, it was that damn fan.. Said his name was dave and his friends was hector." Chris felt stupid, the names were to close to the real people.

"Dave... and Hector." Wade chuckled and shook his head. "Well next time you see this Dave and his friend Hector, you be sure to tell me."

"Yeah, if your around at the time." Chris smiled, think God Wade could be thick sometimes.

"I'm not leaving your side, not anymore. So I'll see who's really doing this to ya."

"Okay." Was Chris's simple reply, he knew it wouldn't work. The Nexus wouldnt dare touch him while Wade was around, no; they would wait until Wade slipped up one time and left Chris alone.

"And if there are times when I have to leave you, I'll leave the guys with ya. They'll keep you safe."

Chri's blood ran cold. "Nah, ill be okay, don't need to do that Wade." Chris smiled innocently.

"But I want to. Then they'll see who's doing this to ya." Wade smiled, completely oblivious.

"But they are busy and all. I dont want to be a burden." Chris was flipping out on the inside.

"They'll do whatever I tell them to do. They'll make time or they're out of a job." Wade chuckled. "Don't worry baby."

Chris swallowed, he couldn't make Wade change his mind so he was doomed.

Wade lifted Chris gently and kissed his lips.
"You're gonna be fine."

Chris attempted to smile, if only he could believe that he would really be okay.
