"Well he's bruised from head to toe because of you!" Alex snapped.

"He has had worse. Its his heart that hurting, he is scared." Critter looked at Mike worriedly as he tried to get away from Alex.
"Did I hurt you?"
"N-No."
Critter nodded and gently thumped the back of Mike's bald head.
"Chemo tomorrow."
"N-No."
"We'll see."
Critter gathered his things and left.

Alex shook his head. It seemed everyone else could put Mike through hell but he didn't mind. Alex made one mistake and he could never make up for it.

It didn't mean as much when other people hurt him. It was Alex, Alex was everything and he loved Alex more than anything so Alex was the only one who mattered. Mike pulled away from Alex, his lip split and his face swollen, one eye swollen completely shut but he was okay. He shakily picked his blanket and pillow up before starting on his way to the couch.

"Mike let me hold you please?" Alex begged.

"You know where Chris lives, go hold him." Mike settled down on the couch, his face, his whole body, his everything hurt.

"Mike I don't want to hold Chris." Alex sighed. "I want to hold you."

Mike shrugged, this wouldn't hurt him until the day he died and that would probably be soon. "What ever just....no more lies, no more 'i love yous' ears because they are lies..." Tears stung Mike's face as they slid down his cheeks.

Chris took a deep breath as he knocked on the door to Alex and Mike's house. Had Mike been telling the truth? Did Alex really have a wet dream about him? He smiled at the thought.
He could see his breath in the air as he pulled the jacket tighter around himself. It was freezing out here.

Mike went to get the door, opening it he struggled to hold back tears and calm himself. "Alex, door." Was all he said before going upstairs and locking himself into the bathroom.

Chris frowned. He felt bad for Mike. He really did. But he knew that he was better for Alex than Mike. He and Alex had always been meant for each other. That had been proven when Alex contacted him out of nowhere.
"Er, can I come in?"
Alex sighed but stepped back so Chris could step inside.
"Just stay down here."
Alex said before running upstairs after his husband.

Mike was about to just end it, he couldn't take this shit. He wished the cancer would go ahead and kill him, he didn't think he could take another month. He sat curled up in a corner on the bathroom, a hand on his belly, the other trying to wipe the tears away. But soon the child began to kick and he was in more pain than ever.

Alex sighed and took out the key which he now kept permanently in his pocket. He unlocked the bathroom door.
Chris followed him upstairs and into the bathroom.

"Damn it! You both get the fuck out." Mike couldn't have them in there, not right now.

Sydney walked in.
"Great it's a party now!" Alex said sarcastically.
"Sydney baby, what are you doing here?"
"I want to know what is going on and I want to know now. And I want to know what the fuck he is doing here." She snarled. He'd never seen her this upset.
"Darling, watch your language. And you do not need to know what is going on. Chris is here because your mother told him to come. He'll be leaving shortly."
Chris frowned, he didn't want to leave soon.
"But daddy! When he's around that means trouble I know from the last time!" Sydney said, bawling. She ran off to her room.
"Chris, Mike stay here." Alex called, running off to find his daughter.

Mike groaned but made no move to get up. He just took a deep breath and stayed settled in his corner.

Chris planned his words carefully and spun Mike so he was facing him.
"Listen Mike. I want Alex back. And you will soon learn that what Chris wants... Chris GETS. I WILL take him back. We are meant for each other. Deep down you know that right Mikey?" He winked, standing back up and acting completely normal as Alex came back.

Mike stared at the man incredulously. He stood, just because he had cancer didn't mean he would take that. Shoved Chris against the wall and with a snarl he told him.
"You listen the fuck up, I don't know what will take place when im gone but while im here, so help me God if you fucking touch him I will beat the fuck out of you."
He couldn't, he was weak and sick but he felt like he could.

Chris threw his head back and laughed.
"Lemme get this straight. YOU are going to kick MY ass?" He chuckled, staring at the weak man amused.

"Yeah I fucking am...." He forced himself to make the doubt go away, he could do it for Alex. But Alex wanted Chris....

Chris simply chuckled, shaking his head.
"Boy I sure would like to see you try. C'mon throw a punch. Right now. No one's here."

Mike counted back wards from ten, it didn't work. He threw the punch.

Chris smirked as he caught Mike's fist in his much larger hand.
He pulled back and slapped Mike across the face.
Just then Alex came through the door.
"Sorry guys. Sydney had a mental breakdown."

Mike grit his teeth before he snatched his hand back and swung again. Fuck Alex being there he was about to fucking blow a gasket. No one bitched slapped him because he was NO ONE'S bitch."

"Woah! What'd I do?!" Chris exclaimed with fake innocence, cringing away. He knew to keep up the act in front of Alex.
