Mike's eyes watered again. He continued to rest against Alex, but that was all he would do. He wouldn't kiss Alex like this, he knew he was probably gross looking and all.

"Baby, can I kiss you? Or would it hurt or something? I don't know I just don't want to mess something up." Alex frowned. He didn't see the sickly, balding man in his arms. He saw the same man he always had. The man he was in love with.

Mike was about to open his mouth to refuse the kiss because he didn't want to gross Alex out when Critter came in. He was gripping at a nurse who quickly began to check Mike over. Critter got maybe four inches from Mike face.
"Okay dumbass, next time I say nurse we get the nurse. I don't like you fainting on the floor. Your cancerous self could have died." Mike glared. "Shut up Critter."

"He's right darlin'." Alex said softly. "He knows what he's doing. Listen to him."

Mike just sighed and let the nurse tend to him as Critter continued to have the nurse look at this and that. He wanted to go home.

Alex sat down, waiting pateintly. Hoping that Mike would be allowed to go home soon.

Soon the nurse was finished and let him go, telling him to rest for the evening. Critter looked around the room. "Okay, so is Mike riding home with you?" He asked Alex, one way or the other he had to go get his daughter.

"If that's alright." Alex nodded, taking Mike into his arms once again. He placed kisses on the top of his head.

Critter nodded and gathered the few thing he brought in with him. Mike reached an arm out. "Critter I know you ain't leaving with out giving me a hug? Remember it could be the last one you ever get so you better enjoy it." Mike joked but there was a serious undertone. Critter hugged Mike, before saying bye and leaving the room.

"You never gave me that kiss." Alex smirked, leaning down.

Mike moved his head away so if anything Alex caught his cheek. He wouldn't have Alex kissing his lips, he didn't want to do that to his husband.

Alex sighed.
"Mike. I am home. I want a damn kiss." He said firmly but still gentle.

"No....." Mike shook his head before resting his head on Alex's chest, just under his chin. "Alex, im....gross. Im not doing that to you."

"You are not gross Michael Riley. Don't you ever say that. You are the most handsome, sexy man on the planet even now." Alex smiled, and tilted Mike's head up with his pointer finger. He pressed his lips to Mike's and then pulled back.
"See? Not like I'm gonna puke or anything." He chuckled.

Mike looked up at his husband, his lip quivering as his body trembled. Soon tears leaked out of his eyes and all he could do was stare at his husband.

"Baby... what did I do?" Alex felt as if he might cry himself. What if Mike just said he was gross so Alex didn't kiss him? What if Mike really didn't want to kiss him?

"Y-You..." Mike buried his head in the crook of Alex's neck. "Your so s-sweet." He sobbed. "I-I know how bad I look a-and you still do that."

"You don't look bad to me. In my eyes you look the exact same as the day I met you. You never change to me. You're the same, incredible, sexy, kind of nerdy, handsome man I fell in love with." Alex chuckled, kissing Mike again, wiping away a few tears.

Mike shook his head. "I-I missed you so much. I-I thought you were gone a-and." Mike continued to sob, unable to say more.

"I'm alright baby, just hurts a bit." Alex said, stroking Mike's hair.

Mike choked on a sob. "C-Can we go home?" He was so tired and sick, he wanted to lay down but he was sure he would be alone, at least for a while longer while Alex visited with the kids and his grand baby.

"Sure thing darling." Alex smiled and carried Mike out to the car and climbed into the back seat, laying Mike in his lap.

Alex Jr soon joined them and started the drive back to the house. Mike let his eyes close, he was so sick.

Alex sighed, rubbing Mike soothingly.
"I love you sweety."
