Misfit

He was probably just saying that to make him feel better.
"You got a girlfriend yet?"

"No..." Hannah had been hinting at something earlier today. But Drew just sort of smiled. He hadn't been paying attention. He'd been worried about Mike.

"You will soon Drew."
She was a bitch, he hated her. But he wanted Drew to be happy.

"I don't know..."
Drew reached back and without even thinking about it, pulled his hair out of it's ponytail. According to Hannah and some of her friends, it looked better down.

Mike sighed. He wanted to open his eyes but his head hurt.
"She likes you."

"Does not." Drew said, toying with the gap in his teeth. He wanted Hannah to like him... but she wouldn't unless he was less nerdy.

"Drew....she does but she is bitch. She will change you..."
He didn't want Drew to change.

"Even if she does like me, which she doesn't, I won't change Mike." Drew said.

"Yes you will, just wait for it Drew."
He probably wouldn't even speak to Mike anymore.

Drew sighed and just waited for a doctor to tell him when Mike could go home.

Soon the doctor came, said Mike could go home in a week. He had been beat pretty bad.

Drew sighed he hadn't wanted to leave but he knew his parents would worry if he wasn't home soon. He told Mike he'd come visit every day and then he left.

The doctors had spoken with Mike's parents and told him when he was coming home.

The next day at school Drew sat with Hannah. She told him that she wanted to go shopping after school but she didn't have a ride.
He said he'd drive her but she'd have to come visit Mike with him. She seemed more than happy to do that.
So after school, Drew and Hannah walked to the hospital and into Mike's room.

Savannah had been visiting and when they walk in she scowled.
"Damn can we not have any privacy."
Mike sighed, he didnt want to see Hannah.

"Well excuse me for coming to see a friend." Drew rolled his eyes and gently pushed her out of the way to stand beside Mike. He might not have liked her but he refused to hit a girl.

"Yeah, thats why friends fight after lunch." She went on the other side and sat down.
"Why dont you go away?"

"I'll go away if Mike wants me to." Drew said, sitting down and crossing his arms.

Mike sighed.
"Both of you stop it."
He looked at Savannah. "Be civil?"
"If I must."

Drew nodded.
"I will. I was just defending myself." Drew glanced towards Hannah. She was just awkwardly standing there. He grabbed a chair and placed it beside his own.
"You can sit y'know." He chuckled.

Savannah pointed.
"Why in the fuck did you bring that to visit my boyfriend? He dont like bitches. I might be the queen bitch but I like him for him, not because he is cute."

"It's really none of your buisness why I spend my time with the people I do. But if you must no, I'm driving her to the mall right after I leave here." Drew said in a bored monotone. "And I do NOT appreciate your language with me."

She rolled her eyes.
"The mall closes soon, you had better go."
She didnt like Hannah, she could deal with Drew but not Hannah.

Drew narrowed his eyes at her but stood.
"I'll be back tomorrow Mike. Maybe later tonight if I get the chance. See ya." He then took Hannah's hand and walked out.

Savannah looked at Mike.
"You have a crush on him?"
"Yeah...."
"You still got one on me?"
He laughed. "I'll always have one on you."
She kisse his cheek and held his hand until she had to leave.
