Misfit

The playe instanty took the ball from Mike and scored. All Mike could think of was that kiss. It effected his game, he missed free throws and let people take and knock ball away from him.

Drew frowned hoping he had not effected Mike's game. Hannah kept leaning over and kissing him again.
"Babe, can I watch the game?" He said softly.
"Yeah sorry." She blushed.

One player knocked Mike down as there people laughed, theres yelled at him. His team didn't know what was going on. Mike was the star, he was the best and he was screwing up.

The rest of the crowd started booing Mike. Taunting him with 'you suck' chants. Drew frowned, he felt awful for his friend.

Mike was tying but he couldn't help it. He had the ball one last time and it was stolen as he was knocked down, his shirt comig up to reveal an angry bruise that no may people noticed. They lost the game because of Mike.

The second the game was over Drew ran down onto the court and helped Mike up.
"Ya alright?" He frowned.

Mike's bottom lip trembled as every one else yelled at him. Only Drew, Savannah, and the team said nothing.

"S'alright Mike. Everyone has a bad game every once in a while." Drew smiled sympathetically.

"Y-Yeah." He stuttered before walking off to get his things and go home.

Drew frowned and followed him. "Mike... did I do somethin?"

"N-No..." Mike had to change into normal clothes, revealing the dark bruise. Couldnt Drew have kissed her somewhere else?"

"Then why are you being all distant?" Drew said cornering Mike. "No avoiding this."

"What do you mean? I havent done anything to you...."
But Hannah did...

"Exactly. You're not being... I don't know. you're not being Mike." Drew said. "Now what was on your mind? Something was upsetting you during the game and it was distracting you."

Mike shrugged. Drew knew Mike liked him and then he went and kissed that slut.

Drew sighed.
"Mike... was it the kiss?" He asked, but he already knew the answer.

"Drop it please." Mike took his things and tried to get passed Drew so he could just go home.

"No I will not drop it. I'm sorry Mike." Drew sighed.

"Don't be sorry for kissing your girlfriend. I knew it was bound to happen just not at my game but its fine Drew let it go."

"I didn't plan on doing it in front of you... the whole kiss cam thing was just a lot of pressure.."

"It dosen't matter anymore Drew, go be with her okay. I gotta get home or ill be in trouble."

"Alright. I'll see you tomorrow." Drew turned away but then walked back over and kissed Mike's cheek softly.

Mike hurridly went home, throught all the abuse he thought of the small kiss Drew gave him.

The next day at school Drew waited at the back of the room for Mike like always.

Mike slowly entered the room, trying to ignore the glares and whispered words. He sat baside Drew and put his head down.
