Misfit

Drew placed a comforting hand on Mike's back and glared at anyone who was whispering and staring at Mike.

Mike grit his teeth as he heard Hannah laughing at him...the whole ass was. He bottom lip trembled.

Drew shot Hannah a look. She immediately stopped laughing.
"Make them stop too." He hissed, gesturing to the rest of her friends. Hannah ordered them to knock it off. They did. But the rest of the class didn't.

Mike put his head in his hands, his life was ovr, the next pern t comment it was going to kill him. He couldn't take this. Hannah had Drew and his fathe was going to kil him sooner or later...why not now.

"S'alright Mike, don't let em bother ya." drew said softly.

"M-My life is over...."
More kids began taunting him as tears well in his eyes.
"Look at the little cry baby"
"Fucking lost us the game."
"You should be off the team."
"I wish you would have died before the game so he might have won."

"Shut the fuck up!" Drew snapped at some of the kids. "I'd like to see you go out there and do any better."

"Im sure we'll get hte chance once he is kicked off the team."
Mike simply got up and left the room.

Drew got up to follow him but a tiny hand tugged at the hem of his shirt.
"Drewbie." Hannah whined. "Stay with me. He's a loser just leave him alone."
"Hannah let go." He snapped.
She pouted and folded her arms as he ran off.

Mike sobbed as he left the building and ran. He had a knife in his poket. He ran to a lake he loved to sit and think at before plopping down in he grass. He tok out the knife and proceeded to cut himslef. Drew was with Hannah, the school hated him, and his father would wind up killing him anyways. He would do it for him.

Drew ran out of the building. Luckily it had been raining this morning so there was mud everywhere. THere was a clear trail of footprints leading to a lake. Drew followed the trail and gasped when he saw Mike cutting himself.

The cuts were deep and jagged. Mike stared at them as they bled. His mind fogging up as a smile claimed his lips.

"Mike! What the fuck are you doing!?" Drew shouted, grabbing Mike roughly, preparing to drag him to the hospital. Again.

Mike screamed and pushed Drew away.
"Leave me alone! Go spend time with your girlfriend!"
He screamed, tears running down his cheeks.

Drew growled and lifted Mike bridal style. He held him tightly.

"D-Damnit! Let me gooooo." Mike sobbed as he smeared blood every where. "Go away."

Drew moved his face down, closer to Mike's. So close that their noses were touching.
"No." He said firmly. As his lips moved to say those simple two letters, they softly brushed Mike's. By accident. Drew quickly looked away and began on their way to the hospital. Trying to ignore that. Trying to ignore the sparks it sent through him.

Mike's lip trembled. His heart ached knowing that he hadn't meant for it to he. Knowing true kiss form Drew was something he would never have. He grit his teeth and kicked, trying to get down.
"LET ME GO!!!!!"

"No." Drew said again, pushing all thoughts from his mind. But one kept swimming back. He wanted more. He wanted to kiss Mike again. God, what the hell was wrong with him Finally they arrived at the hospital and Mike was taken from him, giving him more time to think.

They had to put Mike to sleep to make him stay still while they worked. An hour and a half later they let Drew know that they had saved him this time but another episode like this would be deadly. He could go see him, he was awake now, just tired and he was weak.

Drew walked into Mike's room with bloodshot eyes. He knew it was fairly obvious he had been crying.

Mike turned his head to him.
"I hate you." He grumbled. "You had not goddamn right to save me."

"You had no right to attempt suicide in the first place." Drew retorted. "Honestly, why would you do that Mike? I care about you."

"No Drew damnit, you have Hannah. The whole school hates me, Savannah will find someone else. And dad would wind up killing me anyways so it doesn't matter, I was just helping him."

"Mike, I don't care about Hannah like I care about you. You're... You're special Mike."
