"Baby........" Jeff said. "It hurts me more when you hide things then it does when you worry me."

"i'm sorry baby" said Matt softly he knew he had made Jeff upset

Jeff shook his head. "Don't apologize baby, I know perfectly well how stubborn you are."

Matt just stood there he looked at Jeff his eyes looking so tired

Jeff chuckled and swung Matt up into his arms. "Alright, c'mon you, bedtime."

Matt shuggled closer to Jeff he still didn't want to go to sleep

Jeff stroked Matt's hair gently and headed up the stairs. "Don't be afraid angel, I'm here with you," Jeff murmured.

Matt relaxed a little bit he knew Jeff would take care of him

"That's my Mattie," Jeff smiled, walking into the bedroom.

Matt let out a big yawn as Jeff placed him on the bed

Jeff quickly changed for bed and climbed into the bed, pulling Matt close to him. He wrapped his arms protectively around the older man. "Just get some rest Mattie," Jeff murmured. "I'm right here."

Matt nodded he was so tired he shut his eyes and quickly fell asleep, but there were no dreams just the nightmare. it always started out the same him fighting Brad then tackling him the knife entering his side but in the dream Paige wasn't there and he laid bleeding and wanting Jeff and he could see the sorrow his family was going thru Jeff and Melody heartbroken Brad finding a way to hurt Melody worse. he suddenly woke up from the nightmare

Jeff awoke instantly when he felt the older man Jolt up in his arms. Jeff pulled him to his chest and stroked his hair. "Easy Mattie easy," Jeff soothed. "You're alright, I'm right here baby."

Matt shook, tears falling shuggling closer to Jeff

Jeff held Matt close to him, rubbing his back gently. "It's alright baby, you're safe," Jeff soothed. "I've got you, I'm right here

Matt slowly started to calm down and soon he stopped shaking and the tears stopped falling

"That's it baby, just breathe, just relax Mattie," Jeff soothed softly. "You're safe."

Matt looked at Jeff and whisper "thank you Jeff"

"That's what I'm here for baby," Jeff murmured.

Matt laid there afraid to close his eyes "Jeff?" he asked softly

Jeff ran his hands through Matt's hair. "Yes Mattie?" Jeff asked.

"i don't want to go back to sleep." said Matt quietly

"Would it help if I sang to you?" Jeff asked softly.

Matt nodded and whispered softly "yes please"

Jeff nodded and sang softly.

I'm finding my way back to sanity again
Though I don't really know what I'm going to do when I get there
