I Dream Of Death

Mike nodded. "That's not even close to all. Keep going."
The was a lump forming in the back of his throat.

"Baby..." Alex sighed but kept going.
"He makes me feel safe, I know he'll protect me. No matter how hurt and scarred he is he always put me first, like when he jumped in front of that bullet. When I'm in his arms I know there is no way anyone else will get to me. He refused to give up on us, even after some of the nasty stuff Sydney said.... can I stop now?"

Lane had been walking by when he heard Mike ask for Alex to list what he loves about him him so he did the unthinkable...he eavesdropped.

"No baby, your not done yet...." Mike told him.

"Baby, I'm hurting you... and we'll be here a while if you want me to list every single thing..."

"Just a little more..." Mike assured quietly, his felt his eyes stinging already, he couldnt take much more.

The only thing left he could put into words well, was about when Lane made love to him and he refused to do that to Mike.
"Please..."

"No Alex, just....I want to know...."
Tell me just how much better Lane is than me.

"I... I.." Alex couldn't get the words out. "Baby you don't want me to finish..."

"Alex please, im begging you..."
He needed to know.

"...When he makes love to me, it... it sends sparks through me. I can't explain. But it's magic... I like bottoming better." Alex sighed.

Mike ran a hand through his hair and nodded.
Alex belonged to Lane.
He would never get him back,
And it broke his heart.

"Mikey..." Alex sighed, kissing him gently.

Lane knocked on the door.
"Alex? Mike? Can I come in?"

Alex looked at Mike questioningly.
"Can he baby?"

"Come in Critter." Mike called.
Lane entered the room slowly, his eyes landing on Mike in his husbands arms.
"Alex, did you mean what all your said?" He asked.

"Not nice to eavesdrop..." Alex blushed. "Yeah."

Lane grinned. "I know but did I ever say I was nice?" He shrugged and sat down beside Alex, taking him in his arms.
Mike's jaw clenched as he stood up, his body swayed as the room spun. He had to leave.

"Mike baby, sit back down." Alex frowned, standing and wrapping his arms around Mike. As much as he just wanted to sit in Lane's arms, he couldn't right now.

"N-No...." He pulled away and stumbled before trying to open the door so he could leave.

"Mikey baby. C'mon you're sick. Sit down." Alex cooed.

"N-No....I-Imma go find Sarah." Mike fell to his knees. "SARAH!!!" He wailed,

"No." Alex growled. "Mike, why won't you let me help you?"

"S-Spend time with him....I-Its time for my medicine anyways..."

"Baby, stay with me. I miss you." Alex frowned.

Mike sighed, his eyes dark with defeat as he fell over onto the floor, too weak to stand or sit up anymore.
