Misfit

"Drew... are you alright?" She asked, taking Drew's face in her hands.
"I'm fine mom."
"Now that is bullshit Drew. I want you to be able to talk to me."
"Fine, I'm not okay. It still hurts. Physically and mentally. I can't stop replaying it over and over in my head. I hear how weak I sounded. I whimpered, I begged, I pleaded I hate it. I fucking hate it." Drew said, lip trembling as he turned away from his mother.

Mike was listening from around the corner. He didnt know what to do. Drew needed help, but he was not helping.

Drew's mother could see Mike around the corner but Drew could not. She took a step away from her son and motioned for Mike to take her place, holding Drew.

Mike looked around nervously before hesitantly stepping up to his almost lover and holding him tightly.

Drew sighed, turning around in Mike's arms and burying his head in his boyfriends chest.

"I love you with all my heart Drew McIntyre."
Mike held him close and tried to take at least half of the world off his shoulders.

"Same here Mike. I love you too." Drew whispered, nuzzling Mike's neck. He let a few tears fall. He'd told Mike if he stayed he could baby him. So if that's what he wanted then he got it.

Mike ran his fingers through Drew's soft, brown locks. The other hand rubbed Drew's back. "I can make Quincy kill him."

"No. If anyone's going to kill him it will be me. He wasn't that big. I can defend myself when I'm not drunk. Don't go thinking I'm a wimp now." Drew said, he knew letting Mike see him cry was a mistake.

"I don't think your weak Drew but you would go to jail. Quincy has his ways. No one would ever know. But you WOULD get caught. I know your strong."

"Well I don't want a body guard. If I can't kill him no one is doing it for me." Drew said, kissing Mike's cheek.

Mike shrugged. Truth was that the man had done something to Quincy's girlfriend and Quincy killed him already. It wasn't for Drew, it was for his girl.

"I feel like I've cheated on you..." Drew looked down. He now understood how Mike felt all those times he'd said he cheated on Drew.

"Drew baby, there was nothing you could do to stop him. You didnt even know what was going on."
Mike didnt expect Drew to be faithful.

"I could have tried. I could have at least thrown a punch or two... but I just laid there. Helpless." He said the last word in disgust, nose turned up as if he had just smelled something bad.

"You were drunk, it would not have bother him, you had a head injury too."

"Head injury?" Drew questioned. Mike hadn't mentioned that before.

"Oh yeah, he hit us both in the head with a bat."
He rubbed the back of his head lightly.

"Fucking ass." Drew muttered, he was more upset Mike was hit than himself.

It was the other way around for Mike. He hated what happened to Drew and would do anything to change it.

"How dare he fucking hit you..." Drew growled. "I'd kill him just for that."

Mike sighed and held Drew tighter.
"Drew, all I was worried about was you, not any kind of damage he did to my head. He it you too."

"I know he hit me too but you're more fragile. I've been hit in the head like that before. I'm used to it. Why do you think I'm not complaining about my head hurting?"

"Your hard headed and im used to it too, My father cracked me over the head with shit all the time."

"Well it still upsets me." Drew kissed Mike's head, wiping away what remained of the tears.
