"Jake... thank you." Drew said softly. Anyone who would stand up for his brother like that was a friend of his.

Jake sighed and opened his eyes.
"No need to thank me Drew. That punk detherved an ath wooping."

"Yes he did. And I'm not saying you aren't special... what you just did proved you are. But how did you get it out of him? I can't believe he told you so soon..."

"I juth athed him what happened and why he had that thar and he told me. Thaid if I wanted deatailth to athk you but I dont want detailth right now, itll only further pith me off."

"Alright. To be honest I'm glad you don't want details. It's hard for me to tell it too... it's all my fault that happened that night. I was supposed to be babysitting at the time." Drew sighed. He always blamed himself for what happened to his baby brother and he always would no matter how many times Adrian told him otherwise.

"I just keep thinking, what if? What if I would have stayed with him that night like i was supposed to? Ever since that night he's been so shy and introverted. I wonder if that wouldn't have happened what would he be like now? Is it my fault he's never had a real relationship? Is it my fault he'll always be traumatized by that night?" Drew sighed. "I suppose you're right but I just can't stop blaming myself. Adrian and I practically hated each other back then. We fought constantly but when I found him like that... I realized, I really did care about him. And I needed to show it more."

"Maybe thath why it happened, tho you two could be clothe he needth you Drew, anyone can thee that."

"I suppose that makes sense... just... there had to be a less drastic way to make us closer didn't there?" Drew sighed.

"You wouldnt be thith clothe though." Jake grinned. "And about his firth real relationthip, ill take care of him. Ill pamper him and love him."

"You better Jake Hager. You've probably already noticed but I am VERY protective of him now. You break his heart and I will break your face got it?" Drew said sternly. "You seem nice now but then again so did Toby. You never know."

Jakw snorted, Drew didnt scare him, he knew he could take Drew if he needed too. He didnt plan on hurting Adrian but he did not take kindly to anyone thretening him.

"I'm not kidding Jake. I want us to be friends but I needed to give you that warning. And I know what you're thinking. But if I go down I am taking you with me."

Jake laughed aloud.
"Drew, dont think you thcare me, dont threaten me. You wont get anywere and If I wath like thothe guyth I would hurt the Brat just to prove you wrong. But im not, tho you had better watch who your talking to."
He did not just get stabed for someone he planned on hurting.

"I know I don't scare you. I didn't think I would although if you hurt him you should be scared of me. I'm not stupid. I know you would probably win if I tried to hurt you. But not before I got a few good hits in."

"Drew im warning you. Do not threaten me. If you dont like me then fine, I give a damn, Im here for the brat, not for you. And you might not know thith but I highly doubt there ith anything you can do to hurt me."

Jake had just risked his life for the mans brother and he was not going to be talked down to like that.

"Jake I'd like us to be friends. But don't tell me if I hurt Adrian you wouldn't threaten me just the same."

Jake sighed, sure he would but it was ot his place. He would, he wanted to say he wouldnt but he would.

"Exactly, so let's put our differences aside and agree that whoever hurts Adrian will be killed by the other." Drew chuckled.

"Deal," Jake nodded, a smile dancing on his lips a she looked up at Drew.
Drew might be his friend and if things went well, in a few years maybe his brother in law.

Adrian suddenly appeared in the doorway. He'd been listening for the past few minutes.
"Do I not get any say in this?" Adrian smirked.

"No, brat you dont. And dont you know its not nice to eavesdrop."
Jake grumbled as lightly as his stab wound began throbbing.

"You were eavesdropping on me and Drew, remember?" Adrian smirked. "You heard me say I liked you."

"No I wath not, you juth have a big mouth brat."
Jake grit his teeth and closed his eyes as pain shot through him.

"Cause I was pissed." Adrian smirked, but grimaced as he noticed Jake flinch. He pushed Drew out of the way and took Jake's hand again.
