What Next?

"Mike, I don't understand completely. And I won't pretend I do. But I do know that it must be hard on you. So it's fine. Really. I'm just the opposite of you so it's difficult for me. Eventually, one of us will change."

"I don't want you to change."
Mike wouldn't forgive himself if Zack changed.

"Well one of us is going to." Zack shrugged. And he wanted to make Mike happy, didn't want to annoy Mike with how clingy he was. So he would try and change.

That was it, Mike had to do something. He got up and kissed Zack's cheek before getting dressed.
"Im going to meet a friend."
Mike went to the psychiatric ward. He was going to go to therapy, he was going to fix himself for Zack.

"Kay. I'll probably go hang with Caylen or something. So call or text if ya need me." He smiled.

Mike went to therapy two times a week. He never said exactly where he was going, he just said he was going to meet a friend when he went to therapy.

Zack was getting worried. Mike was spending more time with his "friend" than he did with Zack. He was starting to think he was cheating...
"No, you're just being paranoid... Mike wouldn't do that to you..." He told himself.
But why not?? Zack was lying on the bed. Rosa was over, she was beside him stroking his hair.
"Zacky, you're stressing too much." She pouted, placing a kiss on his cheek, leaving behind a light red lipstick mark.
"Roseee." He whined, rubbing at his cheek.
They'd been talking a lot about this lately. Rosa seemed to think Mike was cheating but she didn't voice her opinions. She knew Zack would be upset with her.

Mike was going to be out later than usual tonight. He was making progress, alot of progress. He was taking extra time tonight because when he went home, he was going to make love to Zack and then sleep with him in his arms all night.

Rosa frowned at the way Zack kept nervously looking at the clock.
It was after ten and Zack was flipping.
"Zacky..."
"I'm just being paranoid Rose." Zack sighed dragging a hand across his face.
"I don't think you are... he's gone a lot.."
"Rose, not the time..."
"I'm just saying.... I'd never cheat on you."
"Rose... I know you wouldn't..."
"You know, as much as I hated Maryse for making you cry when she said it... he doesn't love you."
"Rose... please."
"I do..."
"I know you do Rose. I love you too."
"Then c'mon. Show him he's not the only one who can cheat. I'm right here and I'm more than willing."
"I don't know Rose..."
"C'mon Zacky, I know what you like." She purred. "I can make you feel good, you know I can."
"Rosa, quit it." Zack muttered as she traced a finger down his jawline.
Suddenly she smashed their lips together. She climbed on top of him and stradled his waist.

Mike had been in high spirits when he left his therapy session. He had even gone out and bought Zack a bouquet of roses. He was not usually the romantic type but he was getting better, tonight would be special. He was on his way home with the roses when he walked by a store and he caught a glimpse of something in the glass window of a store. He stared at it for a while. Zack would love it, he just knew Zack would love it even if it wasn't the most manly thing in the world, it was something sweet. Mike entered the store and a few minutes later he walked out with a small, rectangular box in his pocket. Mike got to there hotel and made his way to his and Zack's room. Mike took out his key and opened the door, the roses hidden behind his back. The gently pushed the door open, the roses fell from his hand.
Rosa was in his room, straddling his lover and Zack was not pushing her away.
Mike stood there, unable too move, his world stopped spinning.

"GET OFF!" Zack grabbed Rosa by the hips and threw her off of him rather roughly. He wiped her saliva from his lips. "Out." He snapped, pointing at the door. As he did so, he saw Mike.
"M-Mike." He stammered. He hoped Mike wouldn't think he wanted Rosa to do that.

Mike's jaw was slack as he stared. His eye twitched and he grit his teeth.
"Rosa, im about to fucking show you how Elizabeth Short felt when that psycho severely mutilated her body and severed her at the waist and drained all of her blood. And he slashed her face from the corners of her mouth toward her ears, thats called the Glasgow smile. Her body had been washed and cleaned and she had been "posed" with her hands over her head and elbows bent at right angles. That Rosa is what im going to do to you."
And he looked like he would. The was his body shook and his eyes were dark as he looked at her, his face pale.

Zack was slightly, no scratch that, VERY frightened of Mike at this moment. But his face of horror was nothing compared to Rosa's. She was quickly scrambling towards the door.

Mike blocked it. He was serious, he was going to kill her, he was going to cut her up into little pieces and drain her body of blood. He was going to make her hurt like he was hurting.

Rosa whimpered.
"Mike p-please. I'm s-sorry. I'll s-stop. I'll n-never touch him a-again. Just please! Don't h-hurt me!" She shielded her face, curling up in a ball. Her body began shaking as tears poured down her face. She had never been so scared in her life.

Mike was not showing mercy, there was no way in hell he could. He had went through so much shit trying to get better for Zack and they were about to fuck. "Rosa, you can't take back what you just did to me. You are going to pay, you are going to fucking hurt like im hurting." He took a step towards her.

Zack was terrified. He sat there watching, not knowing what to do...
He wanted to stop Mike. He knew that Mike would regret this, he was just upset at the moment. Mike would not want to be like his father. But Zack was so afraid that if he tried to stop Mike, Mike would get upset and think that Zack was defending Rosa...
"P-Please!" Rosa sobbed.

Mike picked her up by her throat with one hand, her feet dangling. He was going to kill her, he really was, but then he paused, he remembered the fear on his mothers face that matched Rosa's. His mother had done nothing to deserve what his father did but Rosa deserved something.
But this was Mike, not his father.
Mike dropped her and regarded her with a cold stare.
"Get out...."

Rosa scrambled out the door. And she was gone before Mike could finish his sentence.
Zack sat on the bed in silence, staring at his boyfriend.

Mike turned and looked at the crumpled roses he had dropped and Rosa had stepped on in her hurry to get away. He had worked so hard for nothing...
It was over.
Mike bent down and gently scooped up his tattered, dying roses. He slowly walked over to Zack and dropped them at his feet along with the small box containing the heart shaped locket. "Happy three month anniversary." He whispered as he turned and started packing. Yes, at 12:00 they would have been together for three months.

Of course Zack had remembered that. He just hadn't wanted to be one of those clingy girlfriends who felt the need to remind their boyfriend of every week anniversary. He wanted to smile at the flowers but he was too shocked.
"M-Mike, are you leaving?" Zack asked incredulously as he saw Mike packing.

"You cheated on me Zack....." Mike's voice wavered as he set his jaw and continued packing his bags.

"Mike! N-no! I didn't, I swear. She kissed me right as you walked in. I didn't have a chance to push her off until you already saw and Mike I would never cheat on you, I love you more than I've loved anyone and it scares me sometimes and just..." Zack shut up. He was rambling.

Mike sighed, he wanted to ignore Zack but he couldn't.
"Zack......"
He closed his eyes, he refused to show how hurt he was.
"Why was she in our room in the first place? Not like it matters, you could have gone to her room and fucked her there too...."

"She's been trying to stop me from freaking out... to tell the truth you've been worrying me lately.." Zack looked away.
