What Next?

Zack set Mike back in the bed gently. He softly kissed his lips and left the room. He couldn't do that any longer.

Maryse looked up at him.
"Why was he screaming?"
She knew why, it had happened before.

"He thought I was his dad..." Zack murmured. As much as he wanted to forgive her, she was still not his favorite person.

".....You know what you have to do to get him out of that?"
She did.

"What?" He asked curiously. He really didn't know if he wanted to know. "I tried everything I could think of."

"If you hit him, you didn't do it hard enough. That's all that will snap him out of it. Im not strong enough, you are. If not he will stay like that."

Zack frowned.
"I did... but I couldn't hit him any harder." He shook his head. "I...I can't hurt him..."

"He is hurting worse right now. You need to hit him, knock the shit out of him. And do it the first time or you will have to hit him again. If you love you will snap him out of it."

Zack sighed and nodded. He turned around and walked back towards Mike's room.

Mike was still sitting up, his eyes looking out at nothing as he remembered.

Zack wanted to get this over with.
"Love you." He whispered, before rearing back and swinging his fist, connecting with Mike's jaw full force.

Mike's head jerked to the side, his hand flying to clutch his cheek. He had just bit his tongue, his lip was split and he jaw was cracked but he was here.
"Wh-What was that f-for?" Mike turned his teary eyes back to Zack.

Zack trembled.
"You n-needed it." HE hated that it had worked.... he never wanted to do that again.

Mike put his head down, his eyes anywhere but Zack.
"You h-hit me...."
Normally Mike would have been okay with that, but he had just told Zack what his life had been like...and Zack hit him. He was in a vulnerable state and Zack hit him.

"Mike I d-didn't want to... but you thought I was your d-dad. You wouldn't snap out of it and Maryse said that was the only way you would..." Zack whimpered. He hated the way Mike sounded when he said that.

Mike tried to wipe the tears away. He couldn't wait until he was out of this hospital. He wanted to be normal again, he hated crying like a little pussy.

That was it. Zack started bawling.
"B-baby I'm so sorry. I didn't want to. But you wouldn't stop."

Mike sniffled and rubbed his eyes harshly.
"Y-You cracked my j-jaw."

"I-I did?!" Zack exclaimed. "I'm so sorry!" He sobbed.

"I-I don't know if its b-broken or not."
He didn't think it was, he was talking but he knew for damn sure it was cracked.

"Baby I'm sorry!" Zack cried harder, he was going to kill Maryse.

Mike wiped the blood away from his lip with his arm but it still bleed, so did his tongue. His jaw was killing him, aching and throbbing and already turning purple.

Zack whimpered, putting his head in his hands.

"Zack.....Will you go get me a doctor please." Mike asked quietly as he held his jaw. He couldn't believe Zack had just hit him.

Zack whimpered and nodded. He walked off to find a doctor. When the doctor was on his way to Mike, he went and found Maryse.
