Joe couldnt nod, he just tried to rest.
"Just dont tell her where I am or why."

Husky nodded.
"I'll think of an excuse." He kissed Joe's cheek before leaving the room and going back to his hotel room. Tristan was tickling Brianna.
"Daddy! Help!" She squealed. Husky chuckled as he playfully threw Tristan off of her and tackled him.
"Daddy, does you wuv Uncle Tristan?" Brianna asked as she hopped off the couch.
"Yupp, I do."
"Does Uncle Tristan wuv you?"
"Well you gotta ask him that." Husky smirked. She looked at Tristan expectantly.
"Course I do." He grinned.
"Then why don't you two kiss? Like Uncle Tristan and Mr. Ziggleth?"
Husky sat down and plopped her in his lap.
"Cause there are different kinds of love baby."
She looked confused.
"Well there's the way I love you. I love you more than just about anything. But I couldn't kiss you like Uncle Tristan kisses Dolph."
She made a face.
"Yucky."
Husky laughed.
"Yes, very yucky."
"Then there's the way Tristan loves Mr.Ziggleth. You see them kiss all the time." Husky grinned.
"Must I be the example?" Tristan chuckled.
"So, daddy, which way do you love Uncle Tristan?"
"The first way. The same way I love you."
"Oh I get it now." She grinned. "Daddy, I never see you kissing anyone. Do you love anybody the second way?"
Husky sighed. She was just a kid, she didn't know that would hurt him.
"Honey, I don't think your daddy wants to answer that..." Tristan said softly.
"It's alright Tristan, she wasn't trying to upset me."
Brianna frowned.
"I'm sowwy daddy." She attempted to wrap her tiny arms around him. He grinned down at her.
"It's alright baby. And yes, I do love someone the second way. But I'm not allowed to kiss them like that."
She frowned.
"Who?"
"I love your momma that way."
"Then why aren't you with him?"
"Because he's with Kofi."
"But... I don't think he likes Kofi very much..."
Husky shrugged.
"Well, you'll have to ask him."
"Where is momma by the way?"
"He's... at the zoo."
"OH! I wanna go to the zoo!" She beamed.
"Baby, the zoo isn't a safe place... the elephants bite you know... and monkeys attack you." He grinned to himself as he scooped her up.

Brian knocked on the door to Husky's room. He wanted to go see his friend, she had bad it really was now. He would fucking kill Kofi, Joe had quickly became his best friend. Brian was Joe's Tristan if you would.

Husky was still holding Brianna as he walked to the door.
"Brian!" Brianna smiled as her father opened the door.

Brian bent down and picked Brianna up, kissing her cheek and spinning her around. "Hey sweetheart." He cooed to the little girl.

"Why are you heree?" She asked, voice vibrating as she bounced in Brian's arms.

"I wanna know where your momma is."
He knew but he didnt know the room and he wanted to know what to expect.

"Momma's at the zoo." She grinned.
Husky smiled at her.
"Baby why don't you go get Uncle Tristan back for tickling you?" She eagerly ran and chased Tristan out of the room.
"You're the one who told me. He was in ICU." Husky sighed as he turned to Brian.

"I need to know what room and....What do I need to expect, how bad is it so I dont flip out."

"It's awful... Kofi is a dead man no question about it." Husky sighed as he wrote down the room number.

Brian stared at him.
"Husky, awful does not really help me. I need to know a little more than that." But Brian wasn't sure if he wanted to know or see.

"I could barely recognize him Brian..." Husky sighed. "His lip was split, he had a black eye. There was a big cut near his temple. And his nose looks broken. Theyre are hand prints around his neck. His arms are bruised badly and he's missing a few teeth. And there could have been more I didn't see..."

Brian took a shuddering breath.
"He is not going back with Kofi, if nothing else he is coming to live with me..."

"Uh Brian, I don't know you well so I'm not being rude. But unless Joe doesn't want to, he's staying with me." Husky said softly.

"I know, I was ust making sure you know that he had someone to fall back on if something happened and you cant take him. He wants to be with you. He loves you and he finally got tired of it and said he was leaving and he was going to you, thats what made Kofi flip."

Husky nodded with a sigh.
"Well, you don't need to worry about being there for him to fall back on. I'll want him forever. I'll never hurt him like Kofi did or emotionally."

Brian smiled and patted is shoulder.
"You make him happy or your dealing with me." He winked.

"Gee I'm scared now." Husky smiled at the smaller man. "ANyways, you can go keep him company if you'd like. He told me to come stay with Brianna."

"Yeah....He doesn't like to be alone, it bothers him." Brian sighed and turned to leave, he needed to check on his friend, he knew him better than anyone.

Husky nodded.
"Well come back when you're done and tell me if he wants me to come back."

Brian left to go see his best friend. He wound up staying the night and holding Joe's hand when he woke up with pain.

Husky was trying to wait up for BRian but he eventually fell asleep with Tristan beside him. He had one arm thrown across the top of Tristan's pillow and another around Brianna who was lying in between the two of them.

Brian simply left only to get food, he would go shower and change but other than that he was with Joe 24/7.

The next day, Husky went to visit Joe. He walked in, smiling softly.
"How ya feelin baby?" He cooed.

Joe let his eye find Husky again, just as he had the first time.
"Like hell..." Brian had his head on the bed and his hand clutching Joe's tightly.
