Story Of The Year(Anyone)

Alex smiled as he turned on the light. He wasn't exactly afraid of the dark. But he was more comfortable with a little light. Plus, he could tell Ted was.

And Ted was content. He silently said his prayers for the night before cuddling up to Alex and getting comfortable.
"Are you okay with this? Me...um..." He was cuddling.

"I'm more than okay with it." Alex nuzzled Ted's neck.

"And just to let you know, im not your responsibility, you dont need to take care of me. Im only a year younger..."

"I know. But I want to." Alex smiled. "I wouldn't be very nice if I let you out there alone. Plus, I like you."

"I like you too, but it was my own fault I was out there....I ran away, you dont have to do this.."

"If I didn't want to, believe me I wouldn't." Alex smiled.

"Okay, I guess ill deal with that then."
Ted was so tired....

"Yes, now go to sleep. I'll be right here when you wake up."

Ted was asleep before Alex even finished speaking, a small content smile plastered to his face.

Alex smiled at tthe younger boy. He fell asleep soon after, arms squeezing Ted to his chest.

Ted woke up early that morning. He didnt move though, he just laid there and wondered about his momma and daddy.

Alex was smiling in his sleep, murmuring sweet words. His mother peeped through the door to check on the boys. She frowned at her son holding the smaller boy.
"Boys, I made you breakfast." She said softly.

Ted pretended to be asleep, that women made him unconformable. He simple pretended to not hear her.

She walked over to the bed and tapped her son on the shoulder.
"Alex baby, time to wake up." She said softly.
Alex simply grumbled and nuzzled Ted's neck.

Ted could just feel her eyes on him. He didn't want Alex to be in any more trouble so he sat up and poked him.
"I am not that cute girl you saw at the park you are dreaming about." He pretended to roll his eyes like Alex really was crushing over a pretty girl.

Alex groaned and whined.
"I wanna go back to sleep."

"So you can dream of your girl friend?" Ted laughed at him, hoping his mother would think he was loving on Ted because he was dreaming of a girl.

"Hmm?" Alex grumbled groggily. He waved a hand submissively as he stumbled off to the bathroom. Alex's mother walked back downstairs.

"Ughhh." Ted fell back against the bed and covered his hands with his eyes.
"Alex, does she do that often?"

"Do what?" Alex yawned, rubbing his eyes.

"Pop into your room like that? If im going to stay here she can't know about it." Ted sighed to himself.

"Nah, she don't. I think it's just cause what Mica said." Alex said. "She didn't want me kissing you or anything."

"Well you sure helped her, we both did. Cuddling like only a girl and a boy are supposed to."

Alex frowned.
"Well what if I don't want to cuddle with a girl. They're not as cute as you anyways..."
