Fall For You

Suddenly something tugged on Drew's shirt. He turned to see Paige frowning.
He knelt down in front of her.
"Whats the matter sweety?"
"I had a nightmare." She sniggled. "Can I sleep with you and daddy?"

Mike put his pills up and watched his husband and his baby. He wasn't enough of a father for her to come to him when she needed anything.

"Why don't you ask daddy?" Drew whispered in Paige's ear. She toddled over to Mike.
"Daddy?" She looked up at him.

Mike had been reaching for his pills again. He was supposed to if the depression got bad and it was. Mike looked down at his baby tiredly.
"Yes honey?" Mike knelt down.

"CAn I sleep with you and mommy?" She smiled.

"Of coarse baby." Mike grinned tiredly, though he was not stupid, he had been watching. Drew was trying to help him and it made Mike's heart swell but then break because he had to help, if not Paige wouldn't have bothered with him, he was never their anyways.

Paige grabbed her father's hand and led him to the bedroom. Dtre smiled and followed along.

Mike laid down with the little girl. He held her to his chest, trying to make the pain in his chest go away.

Soon Paige was sound asleep. She was smiling the biggest Drew had seen her smile in a while. She rarely got to do this with her father.
Drew grinned and climbed in the bed.

Mike buried his face in his babies hair to hide the tears welling up in his eyes.
He was a horrible father and it was no one's fault but his.

Drew noticed. He sighed.
"Mikey, baby, don't cry..."

Mike shook his head, unsuccessfully trying to make the tears stop.

"Honey, why are you crying?" Drew cooed, reaching over to rub Mike's hair.

Mike caught Drew's hand and kissed it before pressing it to his cheek while his hot tears streamed down his face and onto Drew's hand.

Drew frowned as he cooed to his husband.
"Baby, it's alright. She loves you. I love you."

"Shh...Drew d-don't...."
Mike didn't deserve comfort from Drew, he was making Drew miserable too.

"I can't watch you cry and just sit here baby. It's fine." Drew smiled softly, wiping a tear away with his thumb.

"Drew please d-don't." Mike gently pulled Drew's hand away and intertwined their fingers.

"Honey, I don't like when you cry... just let me help." Drew sighed.

"Not this time Drew, you c-can't help me this time...."
He couldn't, he was a good momma to Paige but he needed a husband.

Drew let out a shaky sigh and rolled over so he was facing away from Mike.
Mike could always help him.

Mike simply continued to cry into his baby's hair, his hand finding Drew's and stroking it gently.

Drew sighed. He wanted to be upset with Mike but he couldn't. He simply held on to his husband's hand.

Soon Mike had cried himself to sleep. He was tired and he had finally cried about how his life was. He didn't like it, didn't like being such a horrible family man.

Drew was the only one left awake. He sighed and stood. He couldn't sleep. He walked out of the room and sat on the couch, curling into a ball. He called the only person besides Mike who he could talk to. His mother.
"Yeah, it's Drew."
"I'm just upset..."
"Mike."
"He's upset, he thinks he's a bad husband."
"That's what I tried to tell him."
"No he's asleep. So is Paige. I can't."
"Tried that."
"That too."
"It's too late for you to come over momma. Maybe tomorrow."
"I don't know why I called."
"Okay, I'm sorry for waking you."
"I love you. Goodbye." Drew sighed and shut his phone.
