"Alex that's the thing, if it were up to me you would be mine, Mike wouldn't have the chance to get you back but he does so you need to choose."

"I..." He did. Now. "Mike... I-I need Mike..." Alex paused, tears filling his eyes. "I'm so sorry Lane." He whispered, kissing him one more time.

Lane's face fell, his heart broke, he was just shattered but he knew it was coming, he fucking knew it was coming.
So why wasn't he ready for the goodbye?
Tears filled his eyes and he swallowed the lump in his throat.
"Okay Boo...Okay."
He needed to go before he started crying infront of Alex.

"Lane..." Alex whispered, voice splintering.
He needed Mike. He wanted Mike...
So why did it hurt so bad to watch Lane go?

Lane drug a callused, worn hand over his face before pushing Alex away.
"Don't...I know you weren't going to stay with me, I fucking knew it!"
He pressed his palm into his eyes.
"Why did I let myself fucking fall in loving with you...."
He wiped the tears away harshly.
He never cried, no one made him cry.
Except Alex.

Alex was shocked when Lane pushed him away. The tears fell down his own cheeks.
"C-can we still be friends?" He sounded so retarded... he was pretty sure he knew the answer to that.

"Yes B-.....Alex. We can be friend or whatever..." He detested how his voice wavered and cracked.
He turned away as the poured drown his cheeks.
"I need to go to bed..."
He needed to go so Alex wouldn't see tears.

"O-okay, goodbye..." Alex whimpered, wiping his eyes. Goddamnit, why must he choose?

Lane knew he should make it goodbye but he loved Alex so much.
"N-No....not goodbye Alex...."
Lane looked at him, tears cascading from his deep, ocean blues.
"N-Not goodbye..." Lean sat down and hugged Alex tightly.
"I don't want a fucking g-goodbye even if I need o-one."

Alex wrapped his arms around Lane as tight as possible.
"I don't want this to be goodbye either." He cried.

Lane held is husband tightly....his exhusband?
"Alex....you be good to him, if you leaving me for him you have better make him worth it.:" Lane let out a small sob.

"I w-will." Alex nodded furiously. "I w-will." He sobbed as he clutched onto Lane's shirt.

"Fuck....Look at this, you got me crying like a little baby."
Lane sniffled and kissed the top of Alex's head.

"I'm sorry..." Alex frowned, attempting to wipe away tears.

"Alex.........You just make sure this is worth it, you aren't dead yet, but you let him know you are waiting on him, let him know just much you love him, you love him enough to let me go.

Alex nodded slowly.
And that's when Sydney walked downstairs.
"Critter?" She asked. Her stepfather NEVER cried.

Lane jumped and slowly wiped his eyes.
"Yes baby?":

"Are you...?" She stopped when her father gave her that look. She knew the answer.
"Nevermind." She stepped over and hugged him.
She looked between the two men and immediately knew what was happening.... This was what she had wanted all along. She should be happy. But she couldn't be. Not with her father and the man he loved bawling..

"Syd....Go back upstairs baby."
Lane really wanted to just make it all go away, wanted to be able to let go and cry but he just couldnt.

"Okay... Love you." She pecked his cheek and walked upstairs.

Lane simply his head down and let the tears drip from his face and down on his hands that were clasp in prayer.

Alex frowned and kissed Lane's forehead.
"I'll be back." He said softly as he walked out the door.
He needed to talk to Mike.

Lane ignored him as prayed. Jessica let out a loud screech as the door opened, she baked up and looked at Alex.
"Hi."

"Hi..." Alex was not sure who this was but she looked very familiar.

"Im sorry, my momma was here and I came to see him and I lost this earring my brother got me and...well...." She grinned cheekily.
