Momma's Song.

"STOP IT!!" Mike shrieked as he pulled the pillow away and continued to try his hardest to put life into his lover.

But it was too late. Alex only had a few breaths left in them. He covered his face as they faded and he collapsed on Mike's chest with a smile.

Mike let out a loud sob as He clutched the still warm corpse of his lover to his chest. Mike rocked him back and forth, tears pouring from his eyes as he softly sang "That's why I keep on lovin' you I keep on lovin' you. Through the baby don't leave mes, and never will again's, and I promise tos,I keep on lovin' you."

A few hours later, Alex's eyes shot open. But it was not the old man that had just died. It was nice, young, good looking, Alex Riley.
He grinned as he examined his new, well old, body.
He was still sitting on the bed, and Mike was still beside him.
"Hey baby." He smiled.

Mike sniffled and grinned at him. He reached out to touch him and he could. Alex was dead....Alex was with him.
Mike threw his arms around Alex's neck.

Alex beamed as he stood and lifted Mike onto his shoulders.
"See? I can do this now! Woo!" He laughed as he held Mike tightly and ran around in circles. He then threw him down on the bed, gently of course.

Mike grinned but then frowned.
"Alex baby, what about Sydney?" Mike stood up and looked into his lover's eyes.

Alex frowned.
"Come with me please?" He asked, extending his hand.

"You never have to ask for my hand...." Mike held Alex's hand tightly and let him lead the way.

Alex smiled as he led Mike to his house. Well his old house. He knocked on the door, wondering if Lane was still there.

Lane opened the door, his eyes falling on Alex and immediately tearing up again.
"Oh Boo.....What happened, why are you......." Lane trailed off as looked at the ghost of his husband.

Alex gave a small smile.
"I died." He said simply.
"Hmm, you never saw me like this did you?" The youngest Lane had seen him was around fifty.

Lane looked at him sternly.
"You died?"
A pause.
"And not in person but Mike showed me pictures."

"Yes Lane I died. Of natural causes thank you very much." He stuck out his tongue. "Well I might have helped them out a little bit..." He smirked.

"Both my boys are gone...."
He was alone now, he had no real family, just Cameron and she was getting so big now...

Alex frowned. He wanted to hug Lane but he knew he couldn't touch him.

Lane sighed and walked back into the house, the door open for Mike and Alex to come in.

Alex walked in, tugging Mike along. He walked over to Lane.
"Alright, I know I can't touch you but, virtual hug." He gave a half hearted smile and went to pretend to hug Lane. His eyes widened when he actually was able to touch Lane's arm.
"Mike....?" He turned to his lover.

Mike was grinning, watching with a small smile.
"Your his guardian angel Alex."

Alex beamed.
"It's official. Lane McCormick, you are the luckiest living man on the planet. You have the second best guardian angel EVERRR!" Alex sang with a laugh.

"Okay Alex Riley! Not For Long."
Lane snapped at him, he was scared. Lane had some rare sickness, they only gave him one month left if that much.

Alex frowned.
"Well it's my job to help you live for as long as possible."

"Well then you fail."
Lane had never fared death but he was scared now, he had never been sick, never thought he would die alone like that.

"Hey, I haven't failed yet. Gimme a chance here. Lemme work my magic." Alex gave a small smile.

"Alex baby, im sick....Imm dying Boo." Lane looked over at Alex and Mike. "I have a month at the most."
