Somewhere With You

Zac simply shrugged as he led Mike to the bathroom where Rick was knelt over Kevin.
"Mike... it's not happening again... right?" Rick said, voice wavering.

Mike knelt down, looking his baby over. He did NOT like this.
"Rick....I don't know. Fuck...This is what stress does to him I guess. He has only been up for maybe a week or two, I fucking told him to avoid stress."
Mike patted Rick's shoulder.
"As far as I can see, his body shut him down so it could recuperate and get the rest it needs. He was too stressed, too tired, too fast."

"And how long is he going to be shut down this time...?" Rick asked, eyes shut tightly. Zac simply stood in the doorway, watching.

"I don't know sweet heart. Take him to bed and let him rest. It'll be okay..."
Mike went to pick him up went Kevin's hand tightly clutched hid arm, his eyes shooting open.

Rick gave a sigh of relief, the grin that spread across his face was child like as he picked Kevin up.

"I don't feel good..." Kevin leaned his head on Rick's chest. Mike sighed and kissed Kevin's cheek before smiling at the little boy. He patted Zac's shoulder. "He is okay."

Zac sighed with a small smile.
"Good." He nodded slowly.
Rick cooed softly at Kevin, like he would at Rick Jr.

Mike smiled at them.
"Why don't we give them a minute? Ill make you some cookies or whatever and we can go pick fun at Biddy."

"Okay..." Zac nodded slowly as he backed out of the doorway so Mike could get past.

Mike stepped out and took his hand, grinning as he lead him down the stairs and into the kitchen. He got out the stuff to make cookies with, picked Zack up and sat him on a stool and then gave him some dough to work with.

Zac smiled as he worked with the dough. He gave a small chuckle. He'd never done stuff like this before. Never had a real family.

Mike grinned at him.
"Okay, so grandma aint working for me. We need another name for me." He sat beside Zac. "Hmmmm Memaw? Gran-T?"

Zac smiled softly.
"Memaw's fine by me I guess." He stared at Mike and took him in.

"Well then, good." Mike kissed the top of his head.
"I see you have calmed down quite a bit. Any reason for that?"

"There's a reason." He nodded slowly. "But I'd rather not share if that's alright."

"Okay sweetheart. You and momma getting along okay?"
He didnt know how the kid was considering he wasn't really Kevin's.

"Yupp, he's... nice to me. Even though I was sort of an ass." He smiled.

"Kevin is a sweetheart, you'll like him. Your daddy is good to but he is very protective of...." He looked at Zac, not knowing what he calls Kevin. "Well he is protective of Kevin. The man who was screaming at you is pretty cool, he is fun to hang out with. And the red faced man is your grandfather. He has a temper but he is a good man."

"I can tell he's protective of my.. momma. It was sweet. I've never seen someone care for someone so much..." He trailed off with a sigh. HE wanted someone to care for him like that...

Mike smiled at him.
"Hey, you know him and your momma will be protective of you too. Hell this whole house will be like that with you. Your going to have a big family that loves you." Mike put the cookies in the oven.

"Yeah, I guess." He smiled... but that wasn't the same as having a boyfriend, a lover, eventually a fiance, then a husband, or wife. He was like Kevin had been before Rick. He'd never had a boyfriend or girlfriend. He was a virgin, never even had a first kiss.

Mike took the cookies out and handed one to Zac as Biddy wondered into the kitchen, seeing Zac and turning on his heel.
"Biddy!"
"Awww mayunnnnn." Biddy whined as Mike made him sit down and have a cookie with them.

Zac smiled at Biddy softly as he ate his cookie.
"Um, I'm sorry... uncle?" He raised an eyebrow not knowing what to call him.

Biddy eyed him cautiously, looking at Mike for the okay. Mike nodded so Biddy naturally grinned and nodded."Im uncle Biddy. Nice to meet you brat."
