Just A Number..

Zac couldn't stop grinning like an idiot, then laughing at his stupidity. He beamed at his mother as he plopped down beside him.

"So?"
Kevin whispered to his son.
"How did it go?"

"Great." Zac chirped, smiling. "I'll give you details sometime dad isn't three feet away." He jerked his head to Rick on the other bed.

Kevin nodded and kissed Zac's cheek.
"Okay, get some sleep..."
He laid on his belly, to lazy to change beds.

"I will." He smiled, hugging his mother before lying down. He was far too giddy...

Kevin was giddy but he was tired.
He was out like a light.
Quincy was in bed awake, staring at the celing.

Zac was doing the same, readjusting himself every few minutes, rolling around in bed.

Quincy was not sure if this was a good thing, him dating a FOURTEEN year old but he tried not to think about it.

Zac was ecstatic yet there was that little part of him that was worried. The voice of reason. Telling him to sttay away. But Zac refused to listen.

Kevin liked the voice of reason, he would prefer Zac stay away but he tried to let Zac make his own choices.

Yes the voice of reason was telling him to stay away. Telling him what if Quincy hadn't changed? What if he was just planning on getting Zac alone at the house so nothing could stop him? But Zac told the voice to shut up. HE simply ignored it.

Quincy had changed though, he was not going to hurt this kid....He liked him too much to hurt him.

And that was what Zac hoped. He finally stood when he realized he couldn't sleep. He walked downstairs and sat down on the couch even though it was around four in the morning.

Mike was awake, he was at the window staring out of it, not noticing Zac.

"Hi memaw." Zac spoke softly, smiling at his grandmother.

Mike looked over at him and smiled softly.
"Hey Sweetheart...."
His eyes went back to his window.

"Something wrong memaw?" Zac asked curiously, following Mike's gaze.

"Hmmmm, yeah im just mussing. Today was the day I died." Mike aways got a cold feeing, always depressed on the day he died.

"Oh." Zac frowned, standing to hug his grandmother. "I don't even remember the day I was killed. Daddy says he does but I don't want to know."

Mike hugged him tightly.
'I dont wanna know either, im just glad we have you now. I don't know what we would do without you."

Zac smiled softly.
"I love you memaw, y'know that?" He really did he just forgot at times..

"Yes I know that baby. " Mike sat him in his lap.
"I was thinking of have Biddy give me a tattoo or another piercing just cuz im in the mood, he is professional at it." Mike mussed.

"Oh whatcha thinking of getting?" He smiled, picturing his grandma with different piercings.

"Maybe something with either the names of all my kids and my nose done or getting someting about your grandpa and a belly button one....But I dont know,....If he leaves again ill be stuck."

"He won't. We don't talk too much but I just know he won't..." Zac shook his head.
