Undesired

David shrugged.
"Cause I'm just that awesome." He ruffled it yet again, chuckling as he walked off to get his equipment.

Dewayne's smile faultered.
Dustin took his hand. "Baby...."
"Im scared."

"My poor baby..." Chris frowned as he took Dewayne's other hand, kissing his cheek.
David was back in a few minutes with a lot of medical, complicated looking equipment. He hummed as he set everything up, all near his own king sized mattress which would function as a hospital bed.

Dewayne watched with mild curiousity, trying to calm his heart. He was really scared for some reason or another he wanted to trust this man.

Once everything was set up, David stepped back over to Dewayne.
"You ready?" He asked softly, taking Dewayne's hand again.

"I guess so...If I gotta be." He swallwed hard as tried not to lace their fingers together, just something about this man....

"It'll all be okay. I promise you." He whispered softly. He was about to lace their fingers together when he stopped. Just because the kid's parents were gay or at least bi, that didn't mean he was...

Dewayne sighed, trembling as nodded. His fingers twitched, threatening to slip inbetween David's.

David sighed. Oh screw it.
He laced their fingers together and walked over to the bed.
"Alright, lay down for me please. It might be easier if you strip to your boxers, sometimes the metal on jeans screws up the machines. But I understand if you're uncomfortable with that." He kept a hold on Dewayne's hand as he finished setting up the heart monitor.

For some reason this eased him, he smiled over at him in a silent thank you as he relutantly let go of the hand to take off his shirt and his jenes, leaving him in his silky blue boxers. He itched to take his hand again but didnt wanna weird his doctor out.

He turned to Dustin and Chris.
"You two can stay in here while I'm getting him ready. But, I'm going to need you to leave once I start the actual surgery."

Dustin nodded, he went ahead and kissed his sons forhead.
"I love you Dewayne." He looked at David. "You take care of him. Im going to go ahead and leave the room."

David nodded.
"I will Dustin."
Chris did the same, kissing Dewayne's cheek.
"Love you baby." He walked out.
David took Dewayne's hand once again.
"Alright, in case it turns out that we're going to need to do a transplant I have a few. I cannot guarentee that they will be the right size though. Now, it's up to you, do you want to be put to sleep, or just numbed so you can't feel it?"

Dewayne held his hand tightly.
"Your the doctor....Whatever you think im just....I don't know."
Dewayne's hand shook as it was held.

"Well not like you can die again but, I don't want to chance something going wrong if you're asleep. You might not wake up for a while.... and I can't let that happen."

"O-Okay whatever you say..." Dewayne stuttered. Not many things bothered him but this scared the hell out of him.
He was trying not to sqeeze to hard.

"You won't feel a thing. Promise." David nodded with a comforting smiled as he caressed his hand. "I want to keep holding your hand hun, but I need both hands to work." He brought Dewayne's hand to his lip and kissed it, then let it go, sitting it on the bed.
He grabbed the hair band he wore on his wrist and pulled his hair back, a few strands wouldn't cooperate. They hung in front of his face but he tucked them behind his ear as he grabbed his scalpel.

Dewayne got butterflies in his stomach as his hand was kissed but it quickly dissapeared as he got scared again, he couldnt even focus on how sexy David was. He Swallowed hard as He jumped up on the bed.
He pinched his arm hard, preying his was dreaming.
By the stinging in his arm he knew he wasn't.

"Oh.. You know what, I'm putting you to sleep." David sighed as he grabbed the needle with his anesthetics.

Dewayne looked up at him, his dark brown eyes wild and scared as he looked up at David helplessly.

David sat down beside him on the edge of the bed and gently caressed his cheek.
"Dewayne, is there anything I can do to help you? Anything that will calm you at least a little bit?"

Kiss him for one thing but then again that wouldn't calm him, he would just be giddy and happy or whatever before being scared shitless again.
"I.....I don't know."

David sighed before standing.
"Well you tell me if there is. when you wake up it'll all be fine." He smiled softly before giving Dewayne the anesthetics.

Dewayne's vision slowly faded, the last the he saw was David.
It put him at ease as he faded away.

David went to work. He rested his ear to Dewayne's chest, listening for where the heart beat came from. He made a small mark with his scalpel and sighed. He hated hurting this boy for some reason. He shook his head. Sure, he was a nice man, a good doctor and surgeon, but he never let emotions get in the way of his work. He shut his eyes for a moment and made that image of the scared young boy go away. He continued working, slicing open the skin around Dewayne's heart.
