And at that exact moment, Dewayne felt his consciousness coming back, along with his chest being sliced open. He tried to move, and tell David but he couldn't. He was frozen and it HURT SO FUCKING BAD! He was being cut open and worked on, he was so scared he couldnt breath, if he could move he would cry. He wished someone would realize...someone would help him but no. David wouldnt see and his parents just ignored him now.

Dewayne's expression didn't change. Nothing changed. He looked exactly the same so David would never guess that Dewayne had woken.
Even still, he had been cooing to the younger boy this whole time. Cooing soothing words as he worked on him. Yes, they would need to do a heart transplant. This could not be fixed. He sighed as he set down his scalpel.
He pressed his lips to Dewayne's clammy forehead as he walked over to the hearts people had donated.

The words helped a little but not much. He still felt every movment of the knife, it was the worst pain he had ever felt in his life and no matter what he did he couldnt move to let the older boy know it. The kiss to the forehead was sweet and even though usually he would have loved it, right now he couldn't focus on it. All he could feel was the gaping hole in his chest David was working on.

A few hours later David was finished. He sighed and wiped the sweat off his forehead. The anesthetics sshould be wearing off soon. Little did he know, they had worn off long ago.

Dewayne was just....He was their but lost in the pain. Their was so much pain he couldn't breath right, he couldn't move but his hand was still trembling lightly. He had stopped trying to move, all it did was hurt him worse and make the panic attacks come harder and stay longer.
David had promised him it would be okay, promised him he wouldn't feel anything....

And David had thought it really would be. This was a rare occurence and as far as he knew it had never happened to any of his patients....

Dewayne finally, FINALLY blinked his eyes open. they shot around the room as the tears fell. He slowly regained control of his hand lifting it and letting it tremble in midair before letting it rest on his chest before a sob tore from his throat.

"Dewayne? Dewayne what's wrong?" David asked, worriedly kneeling by his side.

Dewayne nearly chocked as he fought to speak.
"I-I felt it! Y-You promised I w-wouldn't!" He sobbed.

"Wh-what?" David exclaimed incredulously. He swore he'd done everythign right.... positive. He'd double, no, triplechecked everything!

Dewayne sobbed uncontrolably, his body racking violenty.
"Y-Your promised me D-David!! I-I felt e-everything!"

"Oh! Oh g-god!" What had he done? "Dewayne I'm so sorry! I don't know what happened!"

Dewayne simply continued to sob, his hands clutching his chest as it continued to hurt.

David felt as if he might cry himself as he hugged Dewayne, being careful not to hurt his chest.

Dewayne sobbed into his shoulder.
"I-I felt e-everything from the first c-cut to the l-last!"

"Oh god... Dewayne I'm so sorry! That wasnt supposed to happen!" David exclaimed as he rubbed Dewayne's back.

"Y-Your promised...." he whimpered, sobs racking his poor body as he buried his face in David's neck.

"Oh Dewayne I'm sorry. This is very rare... it wasn't supposed to happen...." David frowned as he stroked Dewayne's hair.

Dewayne moved away fromh him, curling on his side, hugging himself tightly.

"Dewayne, oh, I'm so sorry. Are you okay? I..." David din't know what to say. He felt absolutely awful...

"N-No im not o-okay d-damnit!" The boy was freaking out, he was still in pain....
David had promised

"Dewayne..." David immediately got his supply of painkillers, offering a few to Dewayne. "Take these."

Dewayne did as he was told, swallowing them dry.
He wanted his momma, it sounded childish and a million other things but he fucking wanted his momma.

David stroked his back for a moment before going to get Dustin and Chris.
"Dustin, Chris I'm so sorry...." He looked down at his feet, ashamed. Dustin would never let him deliver the baby now...
Chris pushed past and hugged hsi baby gently

Dewayne shook his head.
"I-I want my momma...."
Mike was the only one who had payed attnetion to him, sure Chris was pregnant but he had said he wouldnt ignore Dewayne, but he did and because he threw a fit Dewayne couldn't stay with his momma.
Dustin looked at his son and then at David before growling.
"What did you do?"
