Undesired

Kindel sighed.
"How about some one on one time?"
Mike nodded. "Okay...."
"Mike you wanna leave the room?"
"Sure...imma go finish cooking." He got up and trudged from the room.
Kindel looked at Alex.
"Start at the first problem and then the next and so on and so forth. We will take it problem by problem."

"Well the main problem is probably... when I left Mike for his best friend..." Alex trailed off. He wasn't that comfortable yet. "I came back and I don't really think he believes I love him as much as his friend anymore."

Kindel nodded.
"Do you?"
He was all profession.

"Yes. Of course I do." Alex nodded firmly.

"Tell me about this friend. What was his name? What was he like, how is he different from Michael?"

"His name was Lane. Well, he was very different from Mike. They're both sweet as hell. But Lane was more dominant, tough. Mike is very sensitive and submissive."

Kindel nodded.
"More detail Alex. I get a gist but I need more detail, paint me a picture."

Alex nodded. He hadn't wanted to give too much detail to this stranger but he would if it would help them..
"Well, Lane never cries. Well he never did when I met him... he did a few times after that. Guess I just tend to hurt the people I love most." He sighed. "He's always so strong and tough. He was the one comforting me 24/7. With me and Mike it's the other way around. I'm not calling him a bawl baby or anything but he cries. A lot. He's gotten a lot better at not doing it but now I feel like I'm making him bottle everything inside but that isn't good and I don't want that."

Kindel nodded.
"Its harder to be with Michael it seems. He needs someone who can take being the man and deal with the crying. If he is bottling it up, I think is because as you said he does cry alot and he knows you dont like it, and he himself does not like it. Mike is.....Very self conscious, low esteem, self loathing, He cannot stand himself. Lane is easy to be with. He does not cry, you never have to worry about that. He takes care of you and coddles you, very loving....But Lane does not feel he needs to be perfect, there fore it does not bother him and make him question himself but Mike does. Some how anything you do, its his fault in his head. He needs to fix himself for you but really there is nothing wrong with him, he is just making it worse."

Alex sighed softly.
"I... I really don't try to make him feel that way. No matter how much I tell him he is perfect in my eyes he does not believe it..."

"Yeah because you did leave him. In his eyes that you trying to find someone better. He thinks your only with him out of pity. There isn't much you can do about it."

Alex frowned.
"Nothing I can do? At all...?"

"Tell me, what are you trying to help? No one is perfect. Mike's biggest fault is loving you so much he hurts himself."

"How do I make him stop hating himself so much? How do I make him realize he is perfect at least to me."

"Well for starters I see his cheek is red, hand print shaped. You hit him?" Kindel crossed his legs.

Alex sighed and frowned deeply.
"I did. I can't stop hurting him. Emotionally and physically like that occasionally. And I hate myself for it."

"Well hitting him is like you punishing him FOR being wrong. He thinks like that, I have seen this before but never quite this bad." He nodded.

"This is only the second time. The first was a long long time ago. Before we were even married." Alex nodded.

"So thats where the problems started huh?" He pulled out a clip board and wrote.

"I guess..." Alex frowned. He honestly wasn't sure...

"Have you two always fought like this?"
How in the hell were they still together.

"Not at first... it didn't get too bad until after we died. Well we always fought a bit, but most couples do."

"And its all because of that Lane guy?" He nodded to himself. "The Lane thing has fucked Mike up."

"I suppose you could say that." He frowned slightly but nodded with a sigh.

"Well lets talk about you now. Whats your story?" He cocked his head to the side.
