Just A Number..

Rick froze. He began tremblign before shaking his head.
"Mike... wh-what did you say?"
He couldn't have heard him right...

"Baby you have testicular cancer." He sounded like he was speaking to a five year old.

"No... I... I can't Mike.. you had to do something wrong or... or something..." Rick shook his head vigorously.

Mike tok Rick's face in his hands.
"Ill start you on chemo in a week. Baby I know...I had it too....But im not mistake...." He pulled Rick and Kevin to his chest.

Rick was trembling, trying his hardest not to cry.
Stay strong.... for Kevin....

"ALEX!!" Mike screamed, holding onto his babies tightly. Kevin refused to cry, he would not cry...no...no...no he wouldnt because it was not true....

Alex was up the stairs in minutes.
"What honey?" He eyed them all. He had never seen such... terror in Rick's eyes... "What's going on?" He asked worriedly.

Mike pulled Alex into the Hug, whispering in his ear.
"Rick has testicular cancer."

"Oh... Oh g-god...." Alex gasped before hugging his son in law tightly.

Mike sighed.
Alex and Kevin were really alike, same reaction....
"Ill take care of him...."

"Rick... oh hun..." Alex frowned. "Mike... can I call Chris? Do you mind?"

"Get him over here....Get Zac....." He looked at the young couple dealing with such grief.
"Lets give them a minute before you and Chris tale Rick away." He pulled Alex out.

Alex nodded and pulled out his phone, stepping oout of the room.
"Chris? It's Alex."
"Why are you breathing weird?"
"OH god, too much information."
"Rick needs you."
"I do not give a flying fuck if he is fucking you, get your girly ass over here."
"Well then waddle!"
"I can't tell you... Rick has to. It's important."
"You have ten minutes McGuire... McDaniels, whatever."
"Bye."
He hung up.

Rick held on to Kevin tightly.
"Baby..."

Kevin held on tightly, not quite sure of what to do.
"R-Rick....Oh God....M-My R-Rick...."

"Baby... I... I can't. No, I don't have it." He refused to accept it.

"Rick....Momma knows...H-He d-died by i-it." Kevin bit down on his lip.

Not his Rick....
Why....

"I just CANT." Rick repeated, clutching onto Kevin tightly.

"Rick....Rick baby....My baby...." He would have to be the man for a while, he would have to be strong for Rick and he could do that....He was just scared.

"Kevin no... I can't." Rick simply shook his head, continuing to mutter the word NO.

"Baby...."
He was devistated......
What would he do? What would he do if something happened to Rick.

Rick put his head in his hands, trembling, still refusing to cry.

Kein knew he wouldn't cry, he would be strong all day....
Until night when it was just him and Kevin.

Rick simply rocked back and forth as Chris knocked on the door.
"Come in..." Rick said quietly.
Chris walked well waddled in with his huge stomach and looked at his brother.
"What's going on? Rick...." When Rick didn't answer he turned to Kevin.
"Kev, I've never seen him looking that scared...."

"H-He has c-cancer." Kevin finally bit through his lip as his tears fell.

Chris blinked.
"Rick... oh...." He simply sat down and hugged his brother close.
"Chris no. I CANT fucking have cancer..."
"Where hun?"
"My fucking nuts!"
