But Austin was a preemie, we was TINY! Jayden was alot bigger than him. Jayden would be a year old in a month, Austin was seven months.

Mike looked at him with a wet face.
"Jayden...." He put his hands over his face.

Everyone was so concerned abotu Austin. They had never noticed he said his first word today. Well he mumbled and tried to say certain things but he screwed them up. Today, he'd said "MINE." loud and clear...

Mike heard, he heard it and it was still in his head but he was so....
His baby had just hurt his baby's baby.....
What would the family say?
What would Biddy and Rick say?
What would he do?"

Jayden whined and threw a tantrum in his crib. He pounded his tiny fists against the bars like a jail cell. He grabbed the bar and pulled himself up. He wanted attention damnit. He would do something they could not ignore...

Mike looked over at him.
He had not wanted him in the first place.
He sighed and stood up to the crib.

Even the small baby felt he wasn't wanted....
He frowned at Mike, turning away and crawling to the other side of the crib. He pulled himself over the bars, falling to the floor. He let out a tiny whine as he began to crawl out the door. He sensed Mike would try to follow so he stopped. He stopped and kept his hands firmly planted on the ground as he placed the bottom of one foot on the floor, then the other. He slowly removed his hands from the floor and took his first shaky step.

Mike couldn't help it, yes he was upset but Jayden was walking, his baby.
Mike squealed and sat down, opening his arms.
"Jayden! C'mere to mommy!" He grinned at his baby.
Sure he had not wanted him.....
But he sure as hell loved him.

Jayden turned around, unbalanced and glanced at his mother.
"Hmph. NO!" He pouted, standing still.

Mike sighed and put his head down.
"F-Fine then....." He hated crying, he rarely did it anymore....
He baby wouldnt come to him...

Jayden was pissed. His mother had been ignoring him and now that he was walking he wanted him. No way in hell. He waddled out the door.
"YOGEEWAA!" In his mind this meant "Look at me!"

Mike sighed and stood up, he scooped Jayden up and frowned at him.
"Jayden....You hurt Austin, thats not good and you are going to bed if you wont mind me child."

Jayden's lower lip trembled. No one gave a damn about him... He began to throw a fit, screaming and crying.

Mike sighed, sitting down and cradling his baby to his chest.
"Oh stop your crying it will be alright. Just take my hand, hold it tight." Mike took his hand and kissed it sweetly. "I will protect you from, all around you....I will be here, dont you cry...."

Jayden sniffled and continued to whine, burying his head in his mother's shoulder.

Mike sat him down and got so close their noses touched.
"For one so small, you seem so strong....My arms will hold you keep you safe and warm." He held his baby close.

"Mmmmm." He made a small humming noise.

Mike sighed and thought a bit.
"I got a song for you....." He cleared his throat. "Got a secret, Can you keep it? Swear this one you'll save. Better lock it, in your pocket, Taking this one to the grave. If I show you then I know you, Won't tell what I said. Cause two can keep a secret If one of the m is dead…"

"Lub.... LUB!" He nodded, nuzzling Mike's neck. His mood changed easily.

Mike grinned as he continued his lullaby, holding Jayden close,
"Why do you smile Like you have told a secret? Now you're telling lies, Cause you're the one to keep it. But no one keeps a secret, No one keeps a secret, Why when we do our darkest deeds. Do we tell? They burn in our brains Become a living hell. Cause everyone tells....Everyone tells…"

Jayden blinked at him, finding his momma's hand and holding it.
"LUB." He repeated hoping his message got across.

Mike wasn't paying attention, he couldnt understand, he just....It scared him. What if that was Jayden? What if his baby was the one hurt? It scared him....He held his babys hand, kissing it before continuing.

JAyden squirmed, frustrated.
"Lubbbbb... LUV! Love!" He nodded furiously.

Mike looked at him, stopping and kissing his baby's cheek.
"Oh baby...Love? What does love mean? What are you trying to say sweetheart?" He stroked Jayden's cheek.
"Look into my eyes, Now you're getting sleepy. Are you hypnotized, By secrets that you're keeping? I know what you're keeping. I know what you're keeping."
