He Will Be Loved

Rick didn't want his big brother to leave them.
He was only four, he wanted his brother.

"And you got Jayden, and I'm sure Lance might come over sometimes..." He kissed his cheek. "I love you squirt."

"I want my bubba though...."
Who would he run to when he had a bad dream? When his parents fought?

"Baby..." Zac sighed. "Okay, I'll stay for you. But I'm not happy with momma right now..."

"Well you and momma love each other very much so im sure you two will be fine." Rick grinned and kissed his cheek.
"Thank you bubba."

"You're welcome squirt." He sighed, nodding at his brother.

Rick frowned, looking down.
"Your mad at me now...."
He didnt want Zac to be mad at him.

"No honey, I'm not mad at you. I'm upset. ANd not at you, just upset." He sighed.

"You wanna leave that bad?" Rick's bottom lip jutted out as he looked at his brother.
Kicked puppy look in effect.

"Oh you stop with the puppy eyes." Zac frowned. "Baby, its not that but I don't want to be around momma."

"Why! Momma loves you Bubba!" Jr clung to his big brother.

"Cause he upset me squirt. Real bad. He hurt me." He nodded

"I think you hurt him just as bad bubba...."
He knew his bubba and his momma.

Zac shrugged.
"Well I dont know why..."

"Your leaving, me and momma need you around. Who is going to love him when he and daddy are fighting? Who will joke and laugh with him? Who will be he BIG baby boy, I can't, im small."

"I'll still be his baby... thats what was upsetting me squirt. Just cause I'd be ten minutes away its like I wasn't his baby anymoer..."

"He is scared bubba, cant you see that? When someone moves, they never come back, your moving his grand babies and his baby away.....Momma deals with it like this, tried to make it hurt less like this but we all know your his baby and you always will be bubba."

"I know Jr.... just...." He sighed. "You're so little, and its your birthday. Don't worry bout all this."

"Not a happy birthday with you and momma upset...."
He looked down with a sigh.

"OH sweety I'm sorry." He frowned. "I'll try and stop for you..."

"Your taking away my friends, ill have to play with Jay all day..."
He loved his nieces and nephews.

"baby, you can come visit. You know you can." He pecked his cheek.

"But....."
He couldnt go over there at night when he had nightmares....or when his momma and daddy were fighting or when he was upset....

Zac simply sighed, rocking his younger brother back and forth.

Rick put on a smile and got himself down.
"Bye Bubba...." He walked off to find his momma.
