Steven pressed his hands to his father's eyes, gasping when he pulled them back and they were wet.
He had never seen his father cry..

But everyone seemed to be crying. Riley was sobbing, Gabriel was silent but it was clear those were tears in his eyes.

As soon as he was gone, Gabriel was once again crying into his brothers chest as Riley pulled out his phone and called their mother.

"Riley? Where are you? Where's Gabe? Are you two okay?"He asked worriedly

"He is dying momma, we are at the hospital, they are giving him three months, six at the most. We are everything but okay." He sighed and hugged Gabriel tighter.

"Oh god... my poor baby..." There was a long pause in which Zac put on his shoes and jacket. "Which room? I'm on my way down." He said as he scribbled a note forQuincy which he left on the table.

Zac was driving as fast as ever, breaking the speed limit by a LOT. He was at the hospital in no time, rushing up to the room.

"Just, everything. He's my precious baby... I find you all adorable. But, I used to like how he was silent. Just, by choice. He was so determined not to talk. I could never have done that. The way he glares and can look so angry without saying a word but you know in his head he's cussing you out. How peaceful he looks sometimes, just lying there. You look just like me and then... you have your daddy's eyes. Your the only one I can clearly pick out parts of myself and your father. I can tell you're mine and his. The way your hair falls in your face... how sweet you can be when you want to. I just, never understood how you could be so sweet and then go home with some random man every night." He sighed. "But I always loved you and you slowly became my favorite. And I hate that... my baby is dying because of me." He bit his lip, wiping away tears.

Gabriel moved, shaking his head and pulling his pad.
Not your fault momma.
It really wasn't....Well....Yes it was his need to feel loved but Zac had not twisted his arms and made him go home with those men. But the words touched him down to his core. His mother noticed all of that. Everything, his little looks, his face, just the little things about him no one else seemed to care anything about.
