He needed it. Chris was not strong enough to protect him and he couldnt protect himself right now.

"I doubt he'll feel safe with you either but can you stick around for a while? He doesn't trust me to protect him."
"Course Chris." Rick nodded. "I'll be downstairs. Call if ya need me."
