Can't Go On

"Rick....For Kevin....What would you change?"
Quincy frowned deeply.

"I dont know goddamnit! I can't fucking think straight!" He growled.

"Rick....If it can save Kevin what would you change?" He raised a brow.

"Quincy I don't fucking know okay?" Rick began bawling. "Please... please let me go." He sobbed.

"Rick think here, for Kevin think and tell me. What you would change." He hugged his father in law.

"I-I don't know! I can't l-let him have the damn kid he w-wants so b-bad and we're always f-fighting about that!" He cried. "I-I dont know!"

"Rick....figure it out. What will you change for him?" Quincy had done the same to Kevin on the phone earlier.

"I-I D-D-DON'T KN-KNOW!" He sobbed harder, looking at Quincy helplessly as he stopped squirming.

Quincy sighed.
"What you say can get him back. Dont ask how just answer me Rick."

"B-But..." Rick didn't know what Quincy wanted to hear.

"If Kevin died and never came back...What would you change. Would you not fight so much? Kiss him more? What would you do?"

"I-I don't know... I-I'd try not to f-fight so m-much..." Rick shook his head, closing his teary eeyes since he couldn't cover them, Quincy had his hands.

"Is that it? Just fighting with him? I need to change to, if I lost Zac I would make sure I never hit him, I would make sure I waited to get him pregnant. I love my babies but he was so young. I would kiss him and cuddle him more than I do. I would never leave him no matter what. I would protect him from everything. I would spend every day trying to keep him happy because I love him more than I have ever loved anything." Quincy sniffled.

Zac smiled sweetly as he listened in. Rick was sobbing too hard to respond.

Quincy sighed, wiping Rick's eyes.
"Is that really all you would change? Do you not love Kevin enough to change anything else?"
Kevin had wanted to change so much for Rick...

"N-n-no.... the o-opposite! I-I'd change E-EVERYTHING! I c-cant e-explain it all!"

"Just a little..."
He needed only a bit to know how serious Rick was.

"I-I... I wouldn't have b-been such a whore in s-school... I w-would wait for K-Kevin... I w-wouldn't cheat on h-him with B-Biddy... I-I'd never leave..."

About then Dustin's old truck pulled into the yard, Kevin stumbled out of it, looking around frantically.
"RICK!!!"
He spotted his lover, tripped three times trying to get to him.

Rick immediately hugged him, sobbing into his shoulder before it sunk in.
"You..." He turned to face Quincy.

Kevin was not thinking about that. He had thought Rick was gone. He had his lover in his arms.
"I-I thought you were g-gone!!!"
Quincy nodded.
"You change and when he does die....You will feel better for treating each other better."

"A-And I thought..." He stammered, fumbling over his words and still in shock. What kind of sick bastard did this shit?

Kevin sobbed into Rick's chest.
Quincy smirked, winking at him.
"Have fun you two." He went off to his lover.

Rick was going to fucking murder Quincy...
He sighed softly, still sobbing as he hugged Kevin close.

"I-Im so sorry for fighting and being sick!!" Kevin cried while Quincy got Jr out of the truck.
