War On The Heart

Zac was obviously put in the line for the gas chamber... there was rarely an escape from that line...

Quincy knew the officer who was sorting them out, he almost had to get on his knees and beg but the man sent Zac off with Quincy and Dustin to work.

Zac shook his head.
Quincy was amazing... the work certainly wasn't fun but it was a blessing for the small boy...

Quincy did most of Zac's work anyways, he was stronger than most men there so he did his work and then did Zac's, making sure he was kept Around. it was late, one week after being sent here, they were in their barracks, Dustin on one side on Zac and Quincy on the other.

The little work he did had pushed Zac to his limits, he was so weak... really should have been gassed straight away...

Quincy saw this and refused to let the boy go...He was making a plan....
He waited another week but at twelve that night it was go.
He and Dustin eased out of bed, Quincy had a sleeping, worn Zac in his arms while they crept, they had made a hole on the side of the wall, they climbed out there, once out it was all chance. They looked around the perimeter, guard everywhere, it was cold as hell outside....Quincy held Zac tighter, took a deepbreath and made a mad dash for the large fence.

Zac woke soon and it took a while to figure out where they were. He gasped when he did. Could this be happening? Oh pleasegod let them escape...

Dustin was Quick, over the fence in minutes as the sirens went off. Men were rushing at Quincy, he made a quick decision, throwing Zac over the fence, sighing in relief as Dustin caught him. As he was taken down, he blew Zac a kiss, mouthed "I love you" right before Dustin took Zac and ran for his life, his AND ZAC'S life.
Quincy was left, being promised the gas chamber.

Zac's eyes were wide as his boyfriend's brother carried him off.
No...
"Dustin! Go back!" He cried out. He wouldn't let Quincy die alone... he couldn't...

Dustin ignored him, just running faster and trying to make it to the nearest train station and out of the Country before anyone got them.
"No Zac! If you die this was all for nothing! He only even got into this to save you and ill be damned if you die!"

Zac put his hands over his face.
Quincy was dead... he had died while saving Zac's life...
Zac let a few tears drip down his pale cheeks.

Dustin hid them on a train that was headed to Switzerland. Dustin held Zac close like Quincy did, watching everything and making sure nothing seemed threatening while he himself did too cry.

Zac snuggled into Dustin just like he would Quincy but it didn't help the pain in his heart one bit...

Dustin got off the train in Switzerland, a free place. The war would end soon, The Americans and Russian's were closing in on Germany.

The war ended soon and Zac ended up staying with Dustin for a bit until he got older.

It had been seven years since the war was over, Dustin had moved them to America and thats were they lived.

Zac had grown a bit, he was recovering from the effects of his years in confinement. He was stronger now. Had a job of his own.

It was a normal night, Dustin trying to cook with his new lover Chris over when a loud knock came on the door.

Zac jogged to get it since Dustin and Chris were both in the kitchen. He opened the door, nearly fainting at what met him.

A man stood there, tall, beaten, broken, scared, and just a shell of the man he had once been. He had muscle, but his stomach caved in, his eyes were sunken in and dark but it was easy to see who the man was.
Quincy McDaniels was home...

"Oh... oh gosh..." Without another word, Zac gently pulled him inside, sitting him on the couch. He jogged off and returned with some peroxide and bandages. He went to work, silently cleaning Quincy up best he could. But it was really no use. The damage was done.

Quincy laid there limply, watching Zac try and help him.
"Zac.....Yours okay...."
His voice was cracking and weak but it sounded like seeing Zac alive made Quincy feel....Like it was all okay.

"I'm fine Quincy... you're not." Zac chewed his lower lip as he watched the once big, strong, tough man he'd used to know so weak and broken..

"Im alive." He noted, but just barely. He looked like he would drop dead any second.

"Barely..." Zac stood and ran into the kitchen. "Dustin! Come here."
