War On The Heart

Zac smiled softly. He was slowly but surely getting comfortable with Quincy. He nuzzled closer and buried his small head in Quincy's neck.

"Have you any family Zac?" Quincy hated to ask...he knew what the answer may be.

"No..." Zac said. "About a year ago, my family and I were in hiding. They found my father first. I was in the basement closet we were hiding in with my mother and my little brother... My dad was searching the room for food. They came...and killed him. My mom ran out of the closet and told me to run and take my brother... I ran, carrying him. He was only three..." He trailed off. "Long story short, they got him.." He couldn't say the rest. It was his fault... he was carrying his brother, running as the soldiers shot at them. They'd caught Zac in the leg and he'd dropped the kid. He tried to grab him but it was too late. They shot him...
Zac had kept running until he'd gotten away. He found the old abandoned house and that was where he hid by himself.
It was his fault his brother was dead.

"Did they have names?" Quincy frowned, he hated that for the kid, his whole family...gone...

"My mom and dad were Rick and Kevin McGuire... my brother was Rick Jr..."
It was awfull... watching your whole family killed...

"Both male?"
They were dead for sure.....not only was Hitler after Jews, any gay man or women...anyone with sickness.....weaklings....

"Um... yes..." Zac scooted away. "Do you have a problem with that?" Truth was Zac was gay too... he wouldn't dare mention that though. He didn't want the man to stop holding him because of it.

Quincy pulled him back, holding him close.
"Not at all. My brother is gay, he had a boyfriend but his boyfriend was taken away a while ago...." He himself had a girlfriend he hated, he just couldnt let anyone think he was gay....he didnt wanna die...

"I... I'm gay too actually... don't worry though... I won't try anything with you, I promise..."

Quincy stopped, looking Zac over.
Hmmmm He was being honest? Quincy had hope....Maybe Zac did trust him.

Zac bit his lip as he watched Quincy.
"I'm sorry, I shouldn't have said that." He sighed.

"No Zac, am too actually. I have a girlfriend just to cover it up right now...." Quincy nodded, holding the small boy.

"oh." He blinked. He never would have guessed.... "Well ... dont worry, I'd never try anything.." He paused. "Don't take offense to that or anything. You're very attractive and.." He groaned and shut up. He was making it worse.

Quincy laughed, shaking his head and pecking Zac's cheek.
"Look kid....I like you and im not worried about you trying anything, I wouldnt mind if you did though."

Zac blushed.
"O-oh really?" He smiled softly, looking away.

Quincy shook his head.
"Too cute Zac, way too cute."

Zac's cheeks wouldn't stop heating up now...
"I'm not cute." He was anything but cute.

"Adorable." He pulled Zac close and cuddled him. "My adorable little secret."

"My sexy savior..." He thought to himself.

Quincy was soon asleep, snoring lightly. Dustin could be heard outside of the door, crying lightly about lover he had lost to the Germans.

Zac could no longer sleep. He felt a bit weird but he simply watched Quincy sleep..

Morning came, Quincy was up early, looking around and sneaking Zac to the bathroom.
"Alright, shower time."

Zac nodded and slowly stripped down, feeling self conscious as he noticed his ribs poking out.

Quincy frowned deeply, bending down and looking Zac over.
"Poor boy...." He shook his head and stripped down as well, picking Zac up and sitting him in the tub before joining him, sinking into the water with a sigh.

Zac sighed contently as he laid back in the water, trying his hardest not to stare at Quincy...
