Dustin rolled over, groaning lightly and pressing his face into Chris's thigh. He was still asleep but burning up with a fever, he was miserable...

Chris carded his fingers through Dustin's hair, frowning at the heat on his forehead.

Dustin's whole face was a bright red, his body radiating with heat. It was sad...He just kept getting sicker and sicker.

Chris shook lightly as he watched with tear filled eyes.

Why did Dustin once again get abducted by those cruel men?
Why did Dustin get made to think Kelton was not his?
Why did Dustin have to be the one sick and dying with Cancer?
Why did Dustin have to be the one to never come back?

No one knew why but it was happening and Dustin himself was not asking why. He would not wish this on anyone else and he was trying to deal with it. He only worried about the kids and the husband he will be leaving behind.

Chris hugged him close but gently so he wouldnt hurt him or wake him.
"Love you..." He whispered to himself, kising his temple.

Dustin let out a small pained sound, pressing close to Chris and in hailing his scent...He felt safe knowing Chris was there. Yes he was the strong one and he always protected Chris and his babies, he felt his lover would protect him...

And Chris would... he could be strong for his lover...

Dustin cracked one eye open. Dewayne had cried himself asleep on his mom's chest.
"Chris...." Dustin croaked, the fever making him tired and pained.

"Yeah baby...?" He cooed softly.

"I..."
He was dying wasn't he....
"I love you..."

"I love you too sweety. So much." Chris nodded.

"Baby...I hope your not pregnant...."
He didnt want to leave him here raising a child....
He didnt want to miss his baby being born and growing up...

"I hope I am but not if you don't..." He frowned. He wanted something left of Dustin...

Dustin sighed, tugging Chris down so he could hold him tightly, kissing his hair.
"I dont wanna leave you pregnant....Because baby.....I am leaving you..."
He was...and he hated it.

Chris swallowed. He hated hearing that...
"I-I know but I w-want something left of y-you..."

Dustin held him closer, sighing into his soft black curls.
"Chris Darlin.....You have everything. Im leaving it all to you. My kids, my home, my farm, my money, my animals, my family....everything that belongs to me...will always be yours....I might be selfish...I dont wanna miss my baby being born or growing up but if it means that much to you...alright baby..."

"Well... I can't help it if I'm already pregnant but if I'm not its okay because you dont wanna miss it." He kissed his temple.

Dustin sighed softly.
He just had this feeling, his fingers pressed to Chris's stomach...
Yes he was almost certain his lover was already pregnant...

"It'll be oaky baby... If I am.. I'll make sure he knows all about his wonderful daddy..."

"There is no if...I can feel it Chris. I can always feel it when your pregnant...I always know before you do..just something about how it feels to touch your stomach and know where is a baby we made together in there...."

"Oh baby... is that alright?" He frowned.

He didn't know...he wanted to be here for his kids....

"Oh I'ms orry baby..." He sighed softly.

Dustin just looked upset...defeated.....
He didnt know what to do.
