"Hey," Jeff said softly, shuffling his feet.

Mike took a deep breath and pulled Jeff close, shutting his eyes and taking in Jeff's sent. Mike never wanted to forget the best thing in his life.

Jeff wrapped his arms around Mike, silent tears slipping down his cheeks. He didn't want to let Mike go

"Listen, I love you..I WILL miss you." Mike sniffled, he couldt cry, Daffy would be mad and Daffy was all he had. "I wont ever forget you."

"I love you too," Jeff's voice was a squeak like whimper.

Mike pulled away and kissed his cheek. Had Daffy not been standing there he would ave given Jeff one last kiss. But Daffy had grown mean, not like he was. The other day he had hit Mike in the head for saying something about missing Jeff. Mike was afraid.

"G-Good B-Bye," Jeff stammered.

Mike nodded at Jeff and whispered. "Goodbye." The Mike proceded to walk back to Daffy's tuck.

As soon as Mike walked away, Jeff broke down

Daffy just took all of Mikes things and left. He needed to have a talk with Michael.

Jeff sat on his bed and cried his eyes out. He was alone....

When they got back to the house Daffy had, for lack of words, beat the hell out of Mike. After a while Daffy left and Mike was left only, bleeding, and sobbing in a corner.

Jeff lay still on his bed, staring at a pill bottle. He wanted to use

Mike wanted to call Jeff, to hear his voice say it was okay. Mike peeked though the door to see Daffy was asleep, so he climbed out the window and ran for Jeff's house, people stopping to see if he wanted a ride to the hospital all the while.

Jeff sat on the bed, fighting the urge to use.

Mike banged on the door. His ribs cracked, face split, bleeding, black and blue. "J-Jeff! P-Please!"

Jeff raced to the door. "Mike, what happened?" Jeff asked.

Mike blinked, he didnt think of that. "I-I ummm ..... I got hit by a car." It was all he had, Daffy would kill him if Jeff knew.

Jeff knew Mike was lying, but he didn't want to push him. He stepped aside. "C'mon in darlin," Jeff drawled worriedly.

Mike glanced behind him one time before walking in and standing there. He didn't know his way around this house,

"Follow me, I'll take you to the bathroom to get cleaned up," Jeff said.

Mike nodded and followed Jeff, looking around the house curiously. So this is where he lived, Mike let that sink in.

Jeff pointed to the bench they'd had built in for Hailey in the corner of the room. "You can sit there."

Mike sat on the little bench, something bugged him about the bench. "Why is there a small bench in here?" Mike inquired.

"For Hailey, so she can sit here and undress and dress when she bathes," Jeff said.
