Alex closed his eyes and let out a shaky breath. Even Cameron was mad at him.
"I'm sorry." He murmured.

"What do you want."
Critter popped her lightly. "I told you to stop that young lady."
Cameron lowed her head. "Yes Sir."

"I just wanted to talk to your daddy but nevermind. I'll leave." He said.

"Im sorry Mr. Alex......" Critter poked her. "You gonna give up some privacy?
"You gonna let me stay the night?" She shot back.
"Don't get smart but yes I am."
She nodded and kissed his cheek. "Im going to the nursery."
Cameron bounded out of the room.

"I thought about it..." Alex said quietly. "Sydney helped a bit. But I know the answer now..."

Critter sighed. "Its fine Alex, I didn't expect you to love me more. " It stung but hoe could Alex love any more than the sweet man he held for twenty five years.

"But Lane... I do." Alex said, not looking away from his eyes.

Critter looked stunned. "But what about Mike?" He asked quietly, he was so happy but his heart broke for the poor man.

"I don't know. I feel awful. I know how bad this will hurt him... But I can't control the way I feel about you."

Critter sighed. "C'mere Boo." He opened his arms up, waiting for Alex to get into them.

Alex walked into them, nuzzling his head into Critter's neck.
At least he'd have Critter when everyone hated him.

Critter held Alex tightly. "Are you sure about this?" He inquired seriously as he stroked Alex's hair.

"One hundred percent." He said softly. It scared him how true this was.

"I love you to Alex, so, so, so much." Critter kissed the top of his head, enjoying the warmth of Alex pressed against his chest.

Alex pulled back and uncrumpled the paper he wrote on.
He cleared his throat and gave no explanation before he began singing.

Critter was wearing a lopsided grin when Alex had finished his song.
"So that was for me?"
He kissed Alex"s cheek.

Alex nodded, staring at his feet.
"I'm sorry. It's stupid." He walked for the trash can to throw away the paper.

"Woah!" Critter grabbed his wrist. "I say if its stupid and its not, I like it and I want to keep it."

"But it sucks." Alex pouted, handing over the paper to his lover.

Critter folded it up and put it under his pillow. "I like it so its mine now Boo." He grinned.

Alex smiled.
"Plus I can't sing to save my life." He chuckled.

"Nah, I enjoyed it." Critter grinned, he had grown up with Daffy so he had two or three note books full of songs.

Alex smiled fondly remembering Mike's song. He still had that memorized word for word...

Critter hummed to himself, it was the tune to a song Mike would sing out of the blue. Little did he know Alex wrote it.

Alex stared at Critter strangely.
