Critter didn't know about that, Mike was so special and he couldn't believe Alex would disregard him but he did love Alex. "Alex....your talking twenty five years and two children and a big history together.....he was everything."

"I know." Alex put his head in his hands. He didn't believe what he had said either. "I'm just trying to think of anything to explain this..."

"I wish you could......" Critter really did want to know what went on inside his lovers head.

"I just can't explain why I love you so much but I do. You're just amazing."

"Was he not?" Critter thought about it and he truly thought Mike Mizanin was an amazing person.

"Of course he was. You see what I mean. I don't have a specific reason." He sighed.

"Alex........You loved him so much." Critter sighed and caressed Alex's cheek. It was difficult to grasp.

"Yeah I did. I still do." He did. He just loved Critter more.

"I wonder is he is okay....." Critter sighed as the throbbing in his back returned.

"I hope he is."
Alex never thought he'd say this but if he couldn't make Mike happy anymore he wanted Daffy to take care of him up there. He silently asked Daffy to make sure Mike was okay in his head.

Daffy heard but he knew it wouldn't help...Mike had just been thrown away and dumped by the thing he loved most. Mike was a broken soul now and there was nothing he could do.

"Lane... Alex left." Alex sighed, looking up at his lover.

Critter's forehead creased in worry. "Do what?" He questioned, he was hoping he was wrong about what he thought it meant.

"Alex left. He said I wasn't his father anymore. His father never would have replaced momma..."

"Oh Alex baby." Critter grit his teeth, that was not fair to his lover. Alex couldn't help it.

Alex tightly squeezed Critter's hand.
"I really don't know what I'd do if I didn't have you right now."

"Shhhhhhhhhh." Critter cooed. "Its okay Boo, we will do something....we will get through this." He kissed Alex's cheek.

Alex didn't know what it was. But something in Critter's voice made Alex believe him.

Critter fidgeted as the pain medication wore off and the pain returned full force.

"You alright darlin?'" Alex frowned.

"Yeah, just hurting again...I think the medication wore off." He smiled sheepishly, embarrassed.

"My poor baby. I'll get off of you." Alex stood, kissing his lover's forehead.

Critter sighed and he tried to lay down, letting out a small yelp when he lowered himself and his hand slipped, letting him fall onto the bed for his sitting position.

Alex grimaced when Critter yelped. He hated watching him in pain.
"You sure you don't wanna sleep?"
