Misfit

Mike's heart skipped a beat but he wasn't stupid, Drew was just trying to make him feel better.
"No, I was just your first friend."

"That's a part of it. When I first came in Hannah was laughing just like everyone else. You didn't. I couldn't have gotten through that first day without you. Or any other day for that matter. Mike I just met you last week. But I feel like we've grown up together. I'm so attached to you already it scares me. I'm scared you're gonna leave if I'm too clingy. Which I am but goddamnit I'm rambling. I'll just shut up." Drew closed his eyes and shook his head.

"Drew, I like being around you. You know I have a crush on you, you know how I feel. I wouldn't leave just because you were clingy or anything. I have Savannah but she can find someone else, she knows I like you and she understands, she's okay. You have Hannah, you will make new friends. I lost everything last night it seemed. And Daddy is going to wind up killing me one day. I have nothing to stick around for. I dont want to see you love Hannah, I dont want to see people hate me....."

"Mike I will never love Hannah and I will never hate you." Drew said honestly. Hannah was a nice girl but there was something up with her and he didn't really feel comfortable around her. Not like he did with Mike.

Mike shrugged.
"You'll get used to her Drew..."
He didn't think he could stand life anymore.

"Mike. Please." Drew said, boring into Mike's deep blue eyes with his own.

"P-Please what?"
He didn't see why he had to stay, why he had to live.

"Please don't kill yourself. Please don't leave me." Drew said softly, taking Mike's hand.

"Drew...."
Mike sighed and let his fingers wrap around Drew's hand.
"Why not...."

Drew sighed. He cupped Mike's chin in his hand and finally did what he'd wanted to since it had happened accidentally. He kissed Mike. It was soft, it was sweet, but it made the butterflies in Drew's stomach roar. This hadn't happened with any other person he had kissed.

Mike's eyes widened as he melted into the kiss. It was so sweet and soft, his heart racing. He was in love with the kid he had only known for a week.

Drew never wanted to have his lips anywhere but on Mike's. Words couldn't describe what this felt like. He never wanted to break away. But eventually he needed air. He pulled back.

Mike eyes remained closed, his cheeks a scarlet red.
"Did you mean to do it that time?"
He hoped to God the answer was yes.

"No, I accidentally made out with you for at least a good minute and a half." Drew chuckled sarcastically.

Mike smirked as he shot back
"Oh well then I guess I still have nothing to live for."

"Guess so." Drew squeezed his hand and smiled. "Hmm... I have a feeling Savannah won't be too pleased about me stealing her man." Drew smirked.

"Hell, just think about what Hannah'll say....Savannah will be fine. She loves me, as long as Im happy she wont mind.'

"Yeah.. don't think Hannah will be too pleasant." Drew groaned. "I have a feeling I'll be called a faggot more than once in the next few days."

"Just say your leaving her. You dont have to say its for me and Savannah wont tell anyone."

"I don't want to keep us a secret Mike. That's not how I roll." Drew smirked. "If we're going to be together I want to be able to kiss you whenever. I don't want to have to wait until we're alone."

"B-But....Aren't you worried about what everyone will say?
Mike didn't care, he was already hated. He just worried for Drew.

"I don't give a damn. Sure it's not like I'll enjoy being teased but it's nothing I haven't gone through before."

"But you were just getting popular....I dont want you to be miserable."
He squeezed Drew's hand.

"Sure it would've been nice. But I'd rather be a loser, with you as a boyfriend than be popular with no real friends."

Mike grinned.
Hearing Drew say he was his boyfriend made his hear swell up and tears spring into his eyes.
