I Dream Of Death

"Mikey...." Lane was speechless as he sat down and pulled the abused man to his chest.

Alex sobbed, he held himself, afraid of hurting Mike. His body shook with silent sobs that escaped his lips.

Lane looked up at him. "C'mere Alex." He moved to cradle the body of his to be lover in one arm and opened the other for his husband.

Alex crawled into his open arm and pulled Mike clsoer to them.

"I think...we almost lost him." Lane muttered as he kissed the top of Alex's head.

Alex sighed and nodded. He knew.

Lane felt a sob tear through his throat.
"He is so precious...and we almost lost him..."

Alex couldn't talk. A lump had formed in the back of his throat. He trembled.

"A-Alex....we almost lost him...."
It just kept ringing in his ears, they had almost lost Mike.

"Q-Quit it." Alex managed. He knew it was true and he didn't like it.

"I-I'm sorry im just......Alex..."
Lane's lip trembled as he looked over the beaten body of Mike. It was almost impossible to tell who it was because of all the scars, bruises, and burns.

Alex buried his head in Lane's shoulder, muffling the scream.

Lane placed a hand on the back of Alex's head. He looked down at Mike and wondered what made people want to hurt him.

"M-my M-mikey." Alex cried, shaking.

"Alex....." He hugged Alex tighter.
According to the scars he was Daffy's.
Lane let Alex go for a moment. He cradled Mike gently before asking. "Do you want to hold him?"

Alex nodded.
"I do." He took Mike in his arm's, large tear drops wetting his hair.

Lane pulled Alex to his chest.
"Alex....I love him too....."
He shook his head, he hated this, what right did Daffy have to do such things to him.
"How could anyone hurt him like this?"

"Cause Daffy is a piece of shit." Alex said. "I've said it all along and what do you know? I was right."

"Alex, other people have hurt him. You said he was raped before...look at him now...I hate this."
A tear fell.
"I love you both and look at him....and we couldn't stop it."

"He has but not nearly this bad." Alex sighed.

"Alex.....I hate this so much. I love you both and he is....he is so hurt...."
Lane couldn't take seeing someone he loved so hurt.

"I know, I'm not blind or stupid." He snapped. He wasn't mad at Lane anymore, this was just how he dealt with this.

Lane flinched. Normally it wouldn't have bothered him but he was upset and Alex was not helping. He was not used to feeling so heart broken.

Alex sighed.
"I'm sorry." He looked down as if he was a child who had just been scolded.
"I just... you know this is my way of dealing with shit."

"I know Boo, and its okay." He kissed the top of Alex's head, his hand running through Mike hair. He pulled it back when he felt something wet on his hand. It was red, and wet with blood.
