Let Me Fall

Jeff smiled a little. He took Mike's hand in his, kissing the back of it. "I love you baby," Jeff said.

Mike grinned, not taking his eyes off the road. It was amazing how four little words lit up his face and melted his heart. "I love you to, Jeff." Mike intertwined there fingers.

Jeff closed his eyes, bright smile not leaving his face. He loved Mike so much that he could hardly remember what his life had been like before Mike was a part of it.

Mike pulled into the doctor's parking garage and turned the car off. Mike gave Jeff a sideways glance. "You okay enough to walk by yourself?"

Jeff nodded. "Yeah, I'll be fine," Jeff said. "I'm pretty sure I'm not that fucked up yet baby," Jeff gave a light chuckle.

"But still......." Mike looked Jeff up and down, getting out of the car and walking around to Jeff's side. "Are you positive? " Mike reached for Jeff's hand. " I want to make sure you okay."

Jeff took Mike's hand in his with a small smile. "That make you feel better angel?" Jeff asked.

"I would feel even better if I could carry you baby." Mikes thumbrubbed circuls on the back of Jeff's hand.

Jeff's mouth quirked into a smile. Was he going to object to an offer like that? Of course he wasn't. "If you insist," Jeff said.

Mike let out a breath he hadn't noticed he had been holding. Mike put one arm under Jeffs legs and the other supported his uperbody. Mike carried jeff into the doctors office bridal style, wearing a look that dared anyone to say anything.

Jeff buried his face in the crook of Mike's neck, too terrified to look around the room.Every instinct within him wanted him to make a run for it. He let out a slight whimper, hoping Mike would catch on.

Mike paused for a moment, concered when a whimper met his ears. Mike didn't want to distress Jeff more but he needed to get Jeff take care of quickly. Mike cheecked Jeff in and the nurse soon led them to a room of there own as they waited for the doctor.

Jeff's panic stricken green eyes darted nervously around the room. He chewed on his lip ring repeatedly as he waited. "I gotta get outta here, I can't do this I gotta get outta here," he thought.

Mike kissed Jeff's cheek softly. "Thank you so much Jeffy. Thank you for coming here for me." Mike held Jeff's hand.

Jeff nodded quickly, but gave no verbal response. His breath caught in his chest and his eyes continued to nervously scan the room. He was beginning to panic.

"Shhhhhhhhhh, Jeff baby, calm down." Mike kissed Jeff's lips, carresssing Jeff's cheek while doing so. "Your going to be fine, im right here. What? Dont tust me to take care of you?"

"I....I trust you," Jeff choked out after a moment or two. "You won't leave?" Jeff asked.

"Not if theres any way I can help it baby." Mike placed Jeff's hand against his chest, right where his heart should be. "My heart beats souly for you. If you need me i'll be here, only for you because your my life, my love, my everything, ....Jeffery Nero Hardy your my reason for living."

Jeff couldn't help but smile. Mike meant the world to him, and to hear those words come out of Mike's mouth almost brought tears to his eyes.

The door opend, and in came a young women who extended her hand to Mike and Jeff, expecting a hand shake. "Hey, im Doctor Blake"

Jeff shook the young woman's hand, but stared down at the floor, chewing his lip nervously.

Doctor Blake took a seat on a stool and stared at Jeff expectanty. "So Mr......ummmmm Hardy? Mike nodded at her and she continued. "What seems to be the problem?"

"Everything," Jeff muttered lowly, not tearing his eyes away from the floor. He gripped Mike's hand firmly to keep himself from running.

Doctor Blake nodded, handing Jeff a sheet of paper to fill out and a pen to fill it out with. The doctor pulled Mike into a corner of the room to talk after trying to get him to step outside with her only for him to refuse.

Jeff started filling out the paper. He glanced up every few seconds to see if Mike was still standing there. He felt overwhelmingly alone without Mike there next to him.
