Fall For You

Mike sighed and pulled the picture out of his pocket. He gave it to Drew, his face blank. "Then keep it away from Paige. She wanted to know why she looks like you, but nothing like me. Then she brought that picture to me and asked who he was. You need to keep that thing when she cant get it." Mike turned and went to give Paige another push.

Great. Now Mike was upset. Drew groaned as he walked back inside.

Mike stayed outside and played with his baby. He was still a little upset but he was happy to spend time with his baby.

Drew stayed inside and cried. His pillow was soaked by the time he finished.

Mike took Paige into the house and sat her on the couch.
"Want me to start supper?"
He needed to check on Drew.

"Okay daddy." She smiled. She had enjoyed today. She rarely got days like this with her dad.

Mike got up and instead of going to the kitchen he went to their room and sat beside Drew.
"Baby what are you crying for?"

"Every fucking thing." Drew quickly wiped his eyes. He had cried enough.

Mike sighed and pulled Drew into his lap.
"Its okay sweetheart. You know ill take care of you and Paige. I took care of it. You have your picture and she wont ask any questions about it."

"Knock it off. I cry too fucking much. Ever since I got pregnant I'm a fucking baby." Drew muttered.

Mike frowned and cocked his head to the side.
"Drew...your my baby. C'mon, I work so I can take care of you, so I can pay the bills and give you and Paige everything. But, when im here let me take care of you as s husband, a good one that I never am, but im trying. Humor me."

Drew gave a small smile.
"Baby I do. From now on I won't cry so much." He wrapped his arms around Mike's neck.

"That's not healthy. If you need to cry, you cry and let me hold you while you do it." Mike kissed the tip of Drew's nose.

Drew turned around and buried his head in Mike's chest.
"Are you upset? About the picture?"

"A little bit....but you need it and I cant be upset about you having something you need." At least he couldn't in front of his husband.

"I'm sorry... I'll get rid of it. I only had it because it's supposed to help." Drew sighed.

"Baby....You keep it, and you help yourself so you dont have those nightmares and flashbacks. I want that for you, I want you to be able to look into Paige's eyes and be okay."

"Okay Mike. I'm sorry." Drew sighed, holding his husband tightly. "It's helping a bit. The one last night was the first I've had in almost two months..."

"Good, its helping you...." Mike sighed and nuzzled Drew's neck.
"Paige wanted to know why she looks like you and not me."

Drew sighed.
"I'm lucky she asked that when I was sleeping. I would've broke down." He muttered.

"I didn't know what to tell her. I simply said I didnt know why, that sometimes that just happened."

Drew nodded.
"That was probably the best answer. I don't want to lie to her but she can't know until she's much much older."

Mike stood up and stretched quietly.
"I need to go cook supper."

"Alright. You do that.... I actually have to go somewhere." Drew said.

"Where?"
Mike trusted his lover but he wanted to know.
