Momma's Song.

"I guess im alone either way...."
Mike hated it, he wanted Alex back.

"But... I want you back." Alex sighed, looking away.

Mike looked up surprised.
"Im dead...maybe when you die, god forbid, but still, I would like for you to be with me....You were mine first, I loved you first...."

Alex nodded.
"Lane and I haven't discussed that, but I'm sort of hoping he'll just go back to Sarah. It will save us both a lot of pain."

"Okay....But when you do die...ill be waiting for you, I have been since i died, you know I have."

"Okay baby. Okay." Alex hugged his ex husband tightly.

"I think it's safe to go now." Sydney took Kevin's hand and led him out the door.

Kevin was glad to see his momma and Daddy together in such a loving embrace, it was so sweet. He wanted his momma and Daddy to be together.

Sydney was almost in tears of joy. It was ridiculous just how much she NEEDED them to be together.

Mike heaved a sigh and looked up at Alex.
"How have you been?"

"Horrible." Alex said with a halfhearted smile. He'd been awful, constantly thinking of how Mike had someone else's child.

Mike frowned.
"Why? Critter is taking good care of you right?"

"Yes but then there is the small thing of the man i love getting pregnant."

Mike sighed and hung his head.
"Alex baby, I swear that was the only time he touched me. I told him no because I didn't want anyone but you touching me like that and he sorta raped me and knocked me up....I would have aborted it but it was too late."

"I know that now baby. But I'm not going to be happy about it." He kissed Mike's temple.

"Well im not either, I hate it...." Mike sighed and shook his head. "What did you think of Kevin?"

"I didn't get to talk to him much, but he seems like a good kid." Alex msiled.

"He is the only thing that keeps me sane. He is so sweet, so good and he is so much like you....it hurts sometimes."

Alex smiled.
"I can't wait to get to know him better."

"I love him so much. He is like you all over again. He is always looking out for me, better than anyone has but you." Mike rubbed his bruised arm as he stared into Alex's eyes.

Those eyes boring into his own could have made Alex melt.
"Baby... tell me one thing..." He whispered. "Are you transparent right now? Or can I touch you?"

Mike took a deep breath and went he exhaled he was touchable. "I can only do this because im your guardian angel." Mike put a firm hand on his chest.

Alex slowly grabbed Mike's face in both hands and kissed him. It felt so, so right after so long of only kissing Lane.
"I love you." He whispered.
"YES!" Sydney screamed and beamed as she hopped up and down. She quickly shut up however, she was pretty sure her parents didn't know her and Kevin were there.

Mike was to entranced with Alex to notice.
"I-I love you too Alex...." The most genuine smile he had worn since death spread across Mike's face.

Alex smiled at his exhusband, eyes twinkling like they only did with Mike.

"Yes, oh yess! " Sydney continued her happy dance all around the cemetery. "Wooooo!"

"I feel bad. I hate it, I miss you so much I want you with me...But that would make you dead and thats the last thing I want..."
