Momma's Song.

Sydney was happy. Alex was pissed. And she didn't know why.
"What's wrong with dad?" She asked Kevin.

"I dunno, lets see."
Kevin looked at his father curiously.
"What's wrong daddy?"

Mike was saying goodbye to his baby boy. He had talked Sarah into taking him. He had already moved all Aaron's things, it broke his heart the way his baby followed him and asked him what he was doing and why he was moving all his things. Mike finally had Aaron moved into Sarah's. Mike knelt down infront of his baby, he made sure Aaron had everything he needed.
"Momma? What's going on?" Aaron looked up at his mother imploringly.
"Baby...your going to stay with aunt Sarah now...." Mike's voice cracked as tears filled his eyes.
"Momma why? Why can't I stay with you? Wh-Why are you crying momma?"
Mike let out a sob and hugged his baby to his chest. "I got to baby...im s-so sorry..." Mike kissed his cheek and stood as Sarah picked his baby up. Mike turned and left, ignoring his heart as it broke, his baby screaming for him over and over again. Mike needed Kevin, he had to talk to his baby....the one he was not giving up.

"Oh nothing kids. Just the fact that your mother does not love me more than a product of rape." Alex grumbled.
Sydney growled.
"Goddamnit! That fucking kid ruins EVERYTHING!" She screamed.

Kevin glared at them both.
"Daddy, you can drop that. Momma loves you more but you dont understand what its like to have a child like momma does. And Sydney, thats my baby brother, please you two, don't do this right now, not with me here." Kevin frowned at him, his mind going a mile a minute.

Sydney glared right back.
"He ain't your brother. He's your half brother if anything. And he told daddy he hates the baby anyways! Ugh!"

'Sydney shut up. One way or the other he is my brother. And momma might hate him but that child has been with him for six years. It was in him for nine months. Carries daddy is not Rick, but you love your baby. What if Rick told you to just get rid of her, get rid of your baby." Kevin crossed is arms, he wanted to be neutral but they were double teaming momma.

"Kevin," Alex snapped as Sydney stormed out of the room, ponytail swinging behind her. "That was not okay. She's... sensitive about Carrie. And Carrie is completely different from Aaron. They are too completely different situations."

"Dad. You know what your wrong. That man fucked her she was willing, okay. Momma was not. The man she loves accepts Carrie, you dont accept Aaron. But yeah, when she was pregnant she had family, momma had me. Im the only one in this family that looks our for him, that cares enough to put momma first. You say you love momma, you cant be with him because of a six year old. If something happens to that baby, or my momma, there will be hell to pay for whoever does it. I am like you, but I put momma before me when I need to. Yeah, I want to have a family, I have never been part if this family and now I cant be....but that baby...you dont understand daddy...."

"Kevin, there is too a difference. Sydney loves Carrie. Mike has told me himself he hated Aaron, so unless I'm being lied to... Rick does not hate Carrie. I do hate Aaron. Sydney was not in love with Rick when she had Carrie. Mike was in love with me when he had Aaron. There are so many differences that you are too stubborn to take into consideration. And I hope you're happy. Sydney seemed to really like you." Alex shook his head.

Kevin rolled his eyes.
"She can get over it. You might be my daddy and I respect the hell outta you and I know im hardheaded, I get it from you. But you know what....I have heard you loved momma more than anything, but apparently your hate for a six year old surpasses the love for momma...Then your not half the man I thought you were."
Kevin cocked his head to the side. "You wanna prove me wrong or right because when and if he comes here...He may or may not have have Aaron but you have your mind made up before he gets here."

"Young man, I don't know how Mike has been teaching you. But you will NOT talk to me like that." Alex said sternly.

"And now are you calling him a bad parent McCormick." Kevin glared.
"I have done nothing wrong, if you think I have then Im sorry dad." Kevin shrugged as he leaned against the counter.

"I'm done with you for the moment. Stay down here. I'm going to calm down my daughter who is probably in hysterics at the moment."
As Alex jogged up the stairs, Rick walked down them, his own eyes bloodshot. That was sometihng hardly anyone saw.

Kevin stood there, his arms crossed as he stared at Rick. He was about to say something when the door opened and slammed shut, there stood Jessica in all all her pissed off glory.
"Kev, we need to talk."
Jessica was beautiful. Baby blue eyes, her skin the perfect color, her hair was blond and brown. She came up to Kevin's shoulders.
"Where is momma and where in the hell is this?"
"I dont know and..daddys house."
"Our daddy?"
"Mhmm how do you not know where you are?"
"Shut up, you are of no use to me."
She was in a hurry.

Rick stood by. He also needed to talk to Kevin.
"Kev, what in the fuck did you say to Syd? No one seems to have the damn time to answer." He sighed.

"Kevin your fucking with people arent you."
"Our sister!"
"Im your sister."
"We have another."
"I would stay but im not into this dramatic shit."
Kevin rolled his eyes.
"She was talking bad about Aaron and I pointed out how Aaron and Carrie were alike and then she left." Kevin sighed and Jessica went out side before coming back with Mike behind her.
"TELL MOMMA THAT I SHOULD HAVE AARON AND NO SARAH!"
Kevin looked at his momma.
"What does she mean?"
Mike hung his head. "I gave him to Sarah."
All hell broke loose.

Rick shook his head. He was going to have a talk with Kevin about upsetting his girlfriend like that. He simply stood back as everything turned hectic.

Mike listen to is kids all of ten minutes before pulling them out the door. Kevin was harsh on him, Mike was in tears by the time he was done and Jessica wanted to talk to Sarah about taking Aaron back. Kevin stepped back in the house to say by because momma felt as if he was no longer welcome in the house.

Rick was the only one downstairs.
"They're talking right now." He jerked his thumb to the staircase. "ANd I don't think it's a wise idea to go up there at the moment."

"Yeah well, when I get ready to go ill go, I wanted to say bye but not like ill be missed to whatever. "No, I also came back because you needed to talk to me?"

"Yes, I do. You're lucky you went out there while I calmed down." He'd kill anyone who made his girl cry like that. "I love that girl and that's the worst I've ever seen her cry. I love that little girl, Carrie, with all my heart. It's not the same for me as it is for Alex with Aaron. Alex still loved Mike when he had someone else's kid. I didn't even know Syd. So it don't bother me and you need to remember that. I was this close to losing my baby. Syd wants to give her up for adoption now cause she don't want me to feel like her dad does." He shook his head.

"Look, Rick, im not trying to step on anyone's toes or fuck anything up, but I was going to have her think about what dad has just forced my mother to do, I lost my baby brother because of dad and Syd so right now, I care nt really much but they are family so im sorry. Thats all I have to say on the matter of Sydney." Kevin was not in the mood.

"And I'm not even family. Yet. So I have no right to get in the middle of this. But you haven't seen what this house was like after Aaron was born. I don't think I've seen Alex smile since. Trust me, it was for the best."

Kevin snapped his head up and glared.
"Kevin, you were here with Sydney, daddy's little girl. I was with momma. You dont know that kid so you dont talk about us being better off, that's biased."

"Kevin, you have never met you father. You have not seen how he used to be. You weren't here watching that change from so happy to completely heartbroken. I was and it just about made me cry. Seeing that big tough man burst into tears at the mention of Mike, Quincy, or Aaron. Hearing him cry himself to sleep at night. So, yeah, I'm a bit biased. I'd have no problem giving up a baby that I claimed I didn't want but hey, maybe that's just me." He shrugged.
