Momma's Song.

Sydney grinned. She had no problem with Kevin. He was HER brother after all.
"Of course you, one of my two brothers, can come to my wedding." She pulled Kevin into a hug. Yes, in her mind, she had two brothers. Alex and Kevin.

"Sydney, keep it up and he wont be there becuase I will make him stay with your other brother. I wish he had no relation to someone who would be so fucking spiteful to him but I cant help that."
Kevin hugged his sister tightly before pouting at his mother.
"Your evil today momma. And you know I would take care of him but I wanna meet my daddy for the first time."
Mike growled. "Well you have a step daddy, bother him." Kevin rolled his eyes and took Sydney's arm. "When he is being evil, all you gotta do is this." Kevin reached out a hand and began tickling his mother before urging Sydney to help. Mike was squealing and trying to get away but to no avail.

"Momma," Sydney tilted her head to the side. "What other brother? Alex is gonna be at the wedding too y'know." She smiled innocently.
She hesitated before joining Kevin in tickling her mother.

Mike popped Kevin upside the hea dand took Sydney's hand.
"You stop being a royal bitch to me. Im your mother and the least you could do is respect me. I have four kids. If he is not your brother then I am not your mother because he is mine, you are mine. Hate him if you want but that wont change." Mike let her go as Kevin tackled him again.

"You may call him my brother. But I will not address him as such. It's either Aaron, if I'm in a good mood, or it." She smiled.

Mike was in her face fast but Kevin had him by the waist.
"God damnit! You are trying to piss me off arent you?" Kevin was mouthing her to let it go and shut up before Mike got physical.

"I'm not trying to momma! But I will not call him my brother. And you cannot make me." She shrugged.
"Syd..." Rick sighed.

"Momma don't...."
Mike glared. "I dont rase you to speak to me like that, and if you were Kevin I would knock the shit out of you for being so disrespectful. You need to watch who you speak to like that." Kevin sighed and rubbed his mommas back. "Its okay momma....."

"Well maybe you shouldn-" Her words were swallowed with a kiss as Rick turned her around.
"Baby, even you know you should not say what you were thinking right then. Now apologize to Mike."
"Sorry." She muttered.

Mike stood up and walked off.
"Im not coming."
Kevin watched his mother go.
"What was she going to say that upset him enough to not come?"

Sydney ran after Mike. Rick simply sighed and shook his head.
"Alright, I know she's your sister, but you don't know her well. I do. I can practically read her mind. She tends not to think when she's pissed. She'll say anything to piss the other person off even if she doesn't mean it. From what I gathered, she was about to make some comment about mike just fucking Quincy to comfort himself when your father didn't want him anymore. She was going to say not to fuck the first thing that offered, then maybe he wouldn't have had Aaron in the first place." Rick sighed as he looked at Kevin. "And now she is running to apologize.

"I need to be around more, I know nothing...well I do know how Mommas mind works. He wont speak to her but he will come, I know he will. He loves her to much not too and I wanna meet my father for the first time....Can you tell me about him? I would ask momma but I dont wanna hurt him."

"Well, I don't know your father too well either but from what I can tell, he's a real good man. He loves his kids more than anything, except for Mike and Critter. And I'm sure he'll love you just the same. Now, all this stuff you heard about him hating Aaron. Well, it's true. But he's not a bad man. I'm able to see this from a neutral point of view. I can see your momma's side. But your dad also has reasons to be upset. Now, I don't know how much you know about what happened between my brother and your father but Alex was always around me growin' up. He was always around my brother so, I'd hang around them like a puppy. He's changed a lot since then. He's a real nice guy. Quality man. You don't find too many of those these days so be proud ya got one for a daddy." Rick nodded. "I'll try to tell ya more if you have any questions."

"Okay....what were him and momma like together?" Kevin was eager to know this stuff.

"I never saw em together." Rick smiled sympathetically. "You'll have to ask Syd about that. But she'll tell ya in a heart beat."

"Okay, ill wait until she comes back."
It probably wouldnt be long with the way Mike stormed off.

Sure enough, around ten minutes later Sydney was back, tears rolling down her cheeks.
"Can ya give us a moment Kev?" Rick frowned as he spotted his girlfriend.

"Okay...But can I come back? I still have un answered questiones." Kevin stood up.

Rick nodded with a smile.
"Of course. I just need to calm her down." He waited until Kevin was gone before pulling Sydney into his lap as he sat on the ground. She cried into his chest for a while.
"Sydney baby, it's alright." He shushed her.
"Rick, you don't get it. You don't get why I hate that damned kid. It means that mom and dad are never going to get back together! I've always hoped that somehow they would. They loved each other so much, so it can't just be over like that. But daddy will never go back now. Never..." She cried. "He can't stand the fact that Mike didn't think about how it would effect him before he had that baby. And I heard dad and Critter talking the other night. Dad wants to have Critter's baby. If Mike doesn't care he shouldn't either right? It's tearing me apart. They don't see what they're doing to me..." She shook her head.
"My poor baby." Rick was on the verge of tears himself and that was a hard feat to accomplish. He kissed the top of her head and hugged her around the waist.
"They were just so in love... and now they can't look at the other without bursting into tears... Rick, I can't take much more. Without you and Carrie I'd have ended everything by now. I can't take this shit. It's awful..."

Kevin couldn't help but hear and listen. He sighed and came back, plopping down in front of them.
"You know daddy, I know momma...I know what went down and I know for a fact momma didn't want Aaron." Kevin took a deep breath. "Momma didn't want Aaron because of what it would do to daddy, Quincy had been trying since momma died and momma always said no, they had really big fights about it, I heard a lot of them. And the night Quincy got momma pregnant....was the night daddy said he loved Critter more. You see, momma had been with them that night, momma is the reason Critter is alive...he saved him. Momma is daddy's guardian angel still...you don't know it but momma still comes around to protect daddy. Anyways, about Aaron...the night daddy said he loved Critter more momma came home and he was a mess. I never saw him drink but he downed several bottles of whiskey and soon he was hammered. Daffy kept me in the living room and I went in their a few times and I saw him in the corner, head in his hands, crying...he was in hysterics and I couldn't do anything. Quincy came home and apparently said something about daddy...something bad and momma threw the bottle at him, he has a scar on his face from it. Finally momma was so out of it he wasn't thinking. I know because all he did at that point was sit there and stare into nothing, crying and calling daddy's name. Quincy took advantage of it, momma didn't know what was going on. Quincy pretty much raped him that night and then hit him once because while he had fucking momma all momma did was cry for daddy.....Momma was two months pregnant when he found out, he wanted an abortion but it was too late. Momma is trying to love Aaron but its hard because he doesn't want to....he wants to hate the kid just as much as daddy. Daddy loves Critter more than momma but momma will never be over him, he wants to hate his own baby because hes not daddy's. I know, I don't understand how momma still loves him so much but." Kevin shrugged.

"Fuck!" Rick knew what was coming. It was ridiculous how he knew Sydney. He held her tightly because sure enough within seconds she began squirming to get out of his arms.
"Let me the fuck go!!" She screamed.
"Baby, hurting Quincy will do nothing." Rick sighed.
"It will make me feel better!" She shouted. "So get the fuck off me!" Sydney's entire body was shaking. Rick saw a look in her eyes he'd never seen. It was pure rage. She could really kill at this moment. He swore he'd never hit a woman but he knew this would work.
He sucked in a deep breath as he eyed her squirming body. He turned her around to face him. She rared back ready to punch him. But he grabbed her arm and then struck her across the face. It wasn't hard, not enough to bruise. But enough to leave the outline of a handprint on her face.
"You need to calm down." He said sternly.
Sure enough, within seconds the shaking ceased and the look in her eyes changed from anger to hurt.
Rick sighed but this is what he wanted. The anger to turn from Quincy to him.

Kevin sighed and scooted closer to them.
"Sydney....I promise you that was the only time Quincy ever touched momma in any way that was sexual. Momma wouldn't have it....he is still faithful to daddy. That little peck on the lips was nothing, had you not been here momma would have hit him." Kevin tentatively hugged his sister.

Sydney sighed as she leaned her head on her brother's shoulder.
"I don't care about that. Well that's upsetting but I care that Quincy forced him. THAT is why the second SOMEONE let's go of me," She shot a look at Rick. "I'm going to stab him. He knew Mike didn't want to get fucking pregnant. Just UGH! I don't understand why he'd even want a kid with someone who didn't love him like that. It's just awful." She found herself oddly comfortable with Kevin already.

"Yeah it is.....And I wanted to hate Aaron to but, momma at first hatred him, copula not be around him for shit and its his kid. But as time went by he HAD to because its his kid. He is trying to be loving but I know....I know just looking at Aaron burns a hole in his stomach. Anyways, momma is faithful to daddy still...it was one time and he really had no way to stop it."

"I know he didn't. And that's what is upsetting me." Kevin was much better at comforting than Alex. Rick tentatively let her go, waiting to see if she'd try and run but she didn't. She simply laid her head on Kevin.
